Giddy Up

by Meghann on February 28, 2011

This afternoon I was able to knock a few items off of my ‘Must Do Before I Leave Orlando List’

#1 – Hot Yoga at Orlando Power Yoga (I’m going to miss it!!!!!)

#2 – $5 Giddy Ups at Dandelion Cafe

*All photos by camera-phone. My apologies in advance. 😉

I’ve heard rumors of $5 Giddy Ups (basically a vegan nacho salad) for a while now, but haven’t had the chance to enjoy one for myself. The deal is good every Monday and is a good one considering they’ll usually run you $8.50 any other day at Dandelion.

The Giddy-Ups were all that were on my mind during hot yoga, so after class I invited my friends Rachel and Amber out for a post-yoga meal.

While we’re at it, I can knock off another thing off of my ‘Must Do Before I Leave Orlando’ list – hang out with friends. 🙂

We all ordered the Giddy Ups with a side of whirled peas and the tea of the day (Hibiscus Herbal & Raspberry Tea)

The Giddy Ups were delicious. The Dandelion chili is a favorite of mine and really makes the dish. It’s the huge chunks of tempeh, it gets me every time.

The three of us stayed and chatted for a good while afterwards, then I headed home to polish off the last of my Take the Cake ice cream and a Vitatop for dessert.

I spent the afternoon before yoga working at Starbucks.

Non-Fat Awake Tea Latte with one pump of Mocha (seriously my new favorite drink) and an Oatmeal Bar entertained my mouth while my brain went into social media overload. 🙂

My goal is to make it to at least one more Hot Yoga class before I move on Saturday. I’m really, really, really going to miss my studio. *sniff *sniff 🙁

Pickles & Peanut Butter

February 28, 2011

I give you my lunch. Now, before you say anything, it should be made clear that I am not pregnant. I’m not suffering from any weird food cravings. And I haven’t lost my mind… yet. I’ve simply reached the bottom of my pantry and am getting a little desperate in my food pairings. Honey Peanut more »

Oscar Talk

February 28, 2011

Who stayed up late watching the Oscars last night? Thoughts on Anne Hathaway and James Franco hosting? (I loved them, but I guess I’m smack dab in the middle of the demographic they were aiming for.) Any major upsets you saw? (It seemed to me all the predicted winners walked away with statue in hand.) more »

One Last Birthday Wish

February 26, 2011

Make a wish! I wished for world peace! Or… you know… that new bed set I’ve been eyeing at Ikea. That works too. 😉 This afternoon I headed over to my hometown to celebrate January, February, and March birthdays with my Dad’s side of the family. We have a large family, so it’s easier just more »

Dusting off the Tiara

February 26, 2011

Move over Mickey Mouse – the Princesses are in town! Two years ago I attended the Disney Princess Half Marathon Expo for fun. Last year Derek and I volunteered at the race and cheered all of our favorite runners on. This year is the first year I’ll officially be running the race! Finally! After two more »
