Those pecans on your oatmeal look so good! I’m sure you will do fine being a running buddy with GOTR on Saturday! Just give your body all the rest it needs and you’ll be good to run!

I’m doing the Reindeer Run on Saturday too! I’ll look out for you…then if I see you, I’ll be too nervous to say hello and whisper to my friend “there’s the Meals and Miles” girl! That’s not weird, right? 🙂

That’s so nice that you’re becoming a running buddy for GOTR! It sounds like a lot of fun. That candy cane tea sounds so so good. Lately I’ve been adding peppermint extract or mint tea bags to my hot chocolate to make them taste more Christmas-y… maybe candy canes will be next!

That’s awesome to be a running body for GOTR! I love seeing kids run, I was even beat in a 5K by a 9 year old recently who ran it in like 24 minutes!

Have you tried chocolate tea yet? One of my friends introduced me to it and it’s good…even though I’m not a tea person!
And it is absolutely FREEZING this morning! *This* FL girl misses the warm weather, haha.

My daughter participated in that when she was in middle school – she was paired up with a girl who was about 24 – and its been 8 years ago, but they still keep in touch through Facebook! 😀

And, um, I want that tea!

Some peeps from work and I cheered at the GOTR here on Saturday…dude, some of those little chicks were freakin’ FAST!!! I think some of the leaders were averaging sub-7:00 miles? We were amazed when the first girls showed up where we were around mile 2 – definitely didn’t expect them that soon! It’s a GREAT event to be a part of, though!

I really wanted to do the Reindeer Run this weekend and be a running buddy for GOTR. It sounds like such a great program from all I have read. Unfortunately I will be out of town this weekend visiting family, so I can’t do the run :(.
I can’t wait to read about your experience with the program though- have fun!

and btw, that Candy Cane tea sounds delicious 🙂

I love the idea of that program! Hope you’re feeling more recovered by then.

I ran a 3k with probably one third of the participants being children (probably older elementary/middle-school aged) — I found that I lot of them would run past me, sprinting so hard until they couldn’t breathe, then I’d pass them when they had to walk. That– repeated– is how most of the 3k went! haha.
