Yoga Does a Body Good

by Meghann on November 22, 2010

After a week without hot yoga, I was practically salivating at the mouth waiting for my chance to jump back into it after work.

I think the instructor said it right when she called tonight’s flow a ‘cleansing practice.’ It was seriously just what the doctor ordered. I worked up a great sweat, gave my body a stretch, and cleared my head of any craziness that may have been inside. It was truly cleansing. :)

Before yoga I fueled up with some dried peaches that I dipped in a hearty spoonful of peanut butter.

Parsnips were on my mind for dinner. Earthy, starchy parsnips. And you know what makes a good parsnip? When you coat it in nut butter and bake it. Yummmmm….

Nut Butter Crusted Parsnip Fries and I went through a little obsessive period a few months back. i think I was making them once or twice a week for a while there, but that was a few months ago and I’ve been missing my favorite nutty fries. I forgot of much of an excellent dinner they make. :)

I paired the fries with roasted brussel sprouts.

Chocolate for dessert.

Next I plan to watch all of the old 90210s. 😉
