it’s suppose to be eSchool not eshool, but I guess that only makes sense if you knew that to begin with.
(Side note: I’m obsessed with the Cake Wrecks blog and stared at this cake for 2 minutes knowing there was a cake wreck in there somewhere. #IHaveProblemsAndIKnowIt <— also Twitter hashtags are too awesome to only be used on twitter.
)
This afternoon Derek and I attended my company’s first annual company picnic. We’re a small company of around 60 or so employees and there’s been a big movement lately towards increasing company morale (hence the mini golf tournament.
)

The picnic took place at BEAUTIFUL Cypress Park near downtown Orlando. I had never been before and was impressed how big and clean the park was. We saw several families around the park taking family portraits and I could see why. Beautiful green fields, beautiful blue sky, and beautiful Florida temps. It was a perfect day to be at the park.

Can you spot me?

Here I am!!

The picnic was definitely a family affair!
We had babies

We had bouncy houses.

We had football

And we had egg toss!

Egg toss fail

Double fail.

The food spread was quite impressive. Lots of homemade dishes mixed in with chips, cookies, and other fun goodies.

My addition. (Butternut Squash Quinoa Salad)

Burgers and Hot Dogs were being fired up on the grill.

My co-worker Rob (who always surprises me with amazing vegan baked goods) was great and brought veggie burgers for everyone who preferred the veggie base over the meat. I really appreciated his thoughtfulness (and so did a few of my non-meat eater co-workers).

I made a plate with a bite of everything.

And had a mini plate for dessert.

Loved the upside down pineapple cake!!

I also snacked on chips, salsa, and veggies while mingling with co-workers and chugged unsweet iced tea like it was my job.

When it was time to say good bye we all had to draw a door prize from the goodie bin.

I walked away with a $25 Publix Gift Card. Sweet!!

Also up for grabs was a couple of iPods, a netbook, and a vacation!!!
It was fun to get away and hang out with all my co-workers in such a relaxed, beautiful setting. I hope this tradition carries on for years to come.
My twin bro just got in town and we’re heading to dinner. I see PIZZA in my future!!
