Welcome back to reality that is. π
This past weekend was just one crazy adventure after another. I made so many new friends, got to see and experience so many cool things, and now I need to take a moment to sit back and just let it all sink in. Itβs hard to believe Iβm already back at my work desk about to start back at my normal everyday routine. No fair.
In case you missed it or are new to the blog (Welcome new HLS friends!!) here are the recaps from the weekend.
- Traveling to ChiTown
- Work & Play
- Staying Active in Chicago
- 2010 Healthy Living Summit Cocktail Party <βdress was from Ruelala.com
- HLS 2010 β Morning Kick Off
- HLS 2010 β The Sessions
- Chicago Tastebuds Tour
- Running Bloggers
- Deep Dish
My night ended early β I crashed that pillow hard β and my morning started late β the snooze button is my new best friend. My body was desperate to catch up on sleep and made sure to take it as much of it as it possible could before my week back at work started.
As of right now my fridge contains about 5 things (not including condiments), but thankfully two of those five things were plain yogurt and strawberries β just what I needed to make a beautiful bowl of cereal for breakfast.
In the mix
- Honey Peanut Butter
- Plain Yogurt
- Strawberries
- 1/2 cup Kashi Flakes
- 1/2 cup Kashi H2H
- MixMyGranola HLS Swag
This bowl reminds me that itβs good to be home. π
I have A LOT to catch up on at my desk right now. And not just with my job either, but with the blog and life in general. I really want to write a reflection post about this weekend and what blogging and the friends Iβve made through blogging truly means to me. I felt so inspired meeting everyone this weekend, I am still overwelmed with all the warm fuzzies running through my body from it all. π
Weβre working on putting a post up right now where all the Healthy Living Summit attendees can exchange links to their own recaps β so stay tuned! *edited to add* The link is up β> http://healthylivingsummit.com/recap-posts/
Itβs back to work I go!
Blog events always create warm fuzzies! I am always amazed at how sweet and wonderful everyone is in the blog community and even more so when you actually get to meet the bloggers in person! Of course you and your mom come to mind when I say this….will never forget our NY trip! You guys are the sweetest! Glad it was a wonderful time for all π
I wish I could have been at the HLS. Looks like it would have been a great opportunity to meet, greet, and eat!
Great job with the whole thing π
Welcome back! Sounds like everyone had a great time at HLS =D
I hate trying to regroup after a long weekend away! Can’t wait to see all the recaps!

Homemade breakfasts make all the difference!
I’m still impressed you guys busted out 16 yesterday morning! Whew. And more impressed when we saw you around your mile 14(? ish?) and got a big ol’ HEY! Clearly you still had energy π
It was awesome to meet you, too! Good luck with the work inbox this morning π
Welcome back! Loved seeing your pictures from Chi-town and reading about your eats. Looks like you guys had an amazing time!
I get warm fuzzies reading all my favorite blogger’s posts about HLS…I had commented to Caitlin earlier this week that maybe in 2011 I would attend the HLS and get to meet all my fave bloggers in person!
I guess I should start commenting more so some of them get to know who I am! Haha!
Maybe HLS would give me that last push to unscare myself from starting my own healthy living blog…??!
Great recaps on what looked like a fabulous weekend full of great food, fun and friends!
PS- Hi, I’m Nikki and I’ve been reading your blog for almost a year I think. I don’t comment very often, but rest assured that I read your wonderful blog each and everyday! I live in Canada (Sherwood Park, Alberta) and I must admit that I sometimes envy your beautiful Florida weather, even when you are hating it! I will also admit that running in the heat is one of my least favorite things to do, and one day I hope you can try winter running- minus 30 degrees celsius…it’s not as bad as it may seem π
Thanks for writing this great blog that keeps me entertained 3 times a day…when I should be working!
It was so awesome to meet you at HLS! You are so cute and funny, I have no idea how I had never found your blog before. But what matters is I’ve found it now! π
I am dying to check out all your recaps. You did such an amazing job at the summit. Definitely have a calling as a teacher/party planner, lol.
I will patiently await the Harry Potter video recap:)
Welcome home! Getting back to a normal routine is always a good thing in my book:) Hope your day goes smoothly!
I can’t imagine how you must feel after such a long weekend – it was overwhelming (in a good way) just reading all of the posts. I love that you have a link to the recaps because for someone who wasn’t there its a really good way to catch up, it also makes me really, really want to attend next year. I can’t wait til then!
Yummy breakfast as always. π
It was such an awesome weekend. I can’t imagine that there are many blog communities that are as inclusive and supporting as this one. Thanks so much for helping to put this together.
It was so awesome to meet you in person this weekend!! I wish I were still in Chicago eating raw food π You girls did such an amazing job organizing! Hope you have a great start to your week!!
Meghann – it was so nice to meet you at HLS! The conference was so great, congrats on a job well done. Can’t wait for next year!
(PS – I’m also running on 10-10-10… possibly another blogger meet-up should be in the works?)
welcome back! i really enjoyed reading your re-caps!
