If you’re going to be stuck in an all day sales meeting, might as well have the go views to go with it.
As a special treat, the first day of our bi-annual corporate sales meeting convened on the 29th floor of a beautiful high rise in downtown Orlando. I wish this was my permanent office setting!
We got to work with a full morning of tactics, logistics, and marketing strategies – that’s me! – basically information overload! It’s great for the marketing team to be involved in the company sales meeting so we understand what their tactics are and how we should be marketing to help them sell better.
During a mid-morning break I had some fruit that was served for breakfast.
Lunch was an array of sandwiches from a local catering company.
I had specially requested a veggie sandwich on whole wheat. It was stuffed full of lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, olives, peppers, and carrots.
Some honey mustard dressing to moisten the sandwich up a bit.
With fruit salad on the side.
The windows to the conference room we were in just happened to open it up to the roof top pool.
Apparently the pool was a happening place this afternoon and a group of girls took up camp right in our eye sight. I spent all afternoon watching all my male co-workers casually glance at the bikini clad girls throughout the remaining training sessions. It was highly entertaining and something I didn’t let any of them live it down later on. We all got a good laugh out of it.
We had a 3:30 break and I snagged a Clif Z-Bar.
The whole team went out to dinner at Brio after we let out around 6:00.
I was inspired by the martini menu and decided to order my first dirty martini in years.
It was delicious and went down way to easy! I polished it off in the first 5 minutes without a problem. Next time I need to learn to take teeny sips. Oh well.
Brio has the best bread. It’s hot, doughy, and very dense. I had one slice to prevent the martini from going straight to my head.
My meal started with a field green salad with the balsamic dressing on the side.
For my main course I paired a started with a side.
The Crab & Shrimp Cake appetizer fell apart with the tip of my fork. It was very light on the breading and extra heavy on the seafood – just the way a crab cake should be.
The roasted vegetable side was seasoned to perfection. I’m couldn’t pinpoint the exact seasoning that elevated the flavor level, but what ever it was it rocked.
I left dinner before dessert so I could make it home to let Maddie out. It was a long day and I still have two more that are going to look very similar. Oh joy! At least my tummy started feeling better.
Toast with butter works wonders!
Good Night!

All your food looks so yummy! Dirty martinis are amazing, they really do go down so easily. That’s why I’m always drunk.
LOVE Brio. It’s where we took all our parents in college. Brings back memories!
I have the same problem with drinks… drink them WAY too fast! But what a view!
that pool looks so inviting!
That view is stunning! I love high-rise buildings just for that reason.
Your dinner looks delish! I’ve never had a dirty martini. I wonder if I’d enjoy it? I’m such a lightweight, though. Two sips and I’d pass out for sure!
All day training can be rough…good luck the next few days. Hopefully the people are fun at least!
haha I had to giggle when I read about the bikini distraction! Too funny!
If my my work attended a meeting with views *ahem* like that, my male coworkers would have their faces pressed up against the glass with tongues hanging out drooling. They are not subtle people.
That martini looks amazing. I haven’t had a dirty martini in forever. Good call with the bread
Of the view looks amazing. SO does your sandwich- gotta love straight veggie sandwiches
What a nice place for a meeting.. I’d love that view minus the bikini girls!
MM i love fresh bread, now I can’t wait until my dinner on friday because I knew there will be a ton of fresh bread!
LOL at the bikini comment. MEN. They’re so predictable!
The skyline view looks awesome, but having the pool view all day would have been such a tease.
Glad to hear your stomach is feeling back to normal!
What a view! Our sales meeting is next month but our room has no windows, jealous
LOVE me some Brio!
Hello view!! Can you believe I’ve never had a martini!??!
Even though you were working all day it looks like fun!
Haha at your male coworkers.
I love the views even if its a long meeting. Gives you a chance to zone out if need be.
I have never had a dirty martini. I do like chocolate ones though!
Oooh swanky! I always chicken out before I order a “real” martini, haha. I’m afraid I won’t like them! Do you recommend gin or vodka?
Holy Swank!
Much nicer than the basement I work in!
I looove dirty martinis, with 3 olives! You should try Hendricks Gin-it is Scottish and super-premium, the best! De-lish, and I love that a martini is so classic, stylish, and timeless
Love Brio! Have gone there with some work folks for their happy hour, and you really can’t beat their prices. Yum!
I am loving your outfit – so pretty! and I would love to be able to work with that view! So pretty!
I love dirty martinis, but I agree – far too easy to drink quickly!!
And those crab cakes look delicious too, it’s all too easy to get them full of potato and no crab in restaurants these days, so I always feel so lucky when I find some which buck that trend!
X
The crab cakes at Brio are so yummy. I always get a starter and a side there. Their eggplant and shrimp appetizer is great!
Gosh, it’s been so long since I’ve had a dirty martini. Love them though!
Looks like a pretty fun meeting locations
Love dirty martinis. I don’t think I’ve ever been able to drink one fast, though! Vodka-sodas, on the other hand…
