I’m going to miss this face!!
These faces too!
I met Caitlin for one final beer this evening before she packed up and moved to North Carolina. I knew this day would come eventually, but did it really have to happen so soon?!?! I didn’t get all the Caitlin time I was hoping for before she left. 🙂
Before I beer time I had a Strawberry Oikos with Granola at work.
And a simple dinner of left over roasted veggies and an open face tuna sammy for dinner.
The Eating Bender inspired Humbecue Tuna was just a combination of tuna, hummus, and barbecue sauce on an Arnold’s Thin.
The veggies needed barbecue sauce.
After dinner Caitlin and I headed to Megan’s – who just finished her last engineering class ever! – for a much deserved beer.
I brought the beers my brother’s girlfriend had left in my fridge to share with my two favorite girls.
We talked. We laughed. We had a great time.
I’m so glad I was able to hang out with Caitlin one last time before she moves two states away. I’m seriously going to miss this girl.
I met Caitlin the week after I moved to Orlando way back in September of 2008. She wrote a little blog called ‘See Bride Run’ and I was new to the area looking for friends. It was love at first run. (Our first run is actually documented on Caitlin’s blog here, I didn’t start my blog until the following week!)
Since then we have been inseparable BFFs! I actually credit Caitlin with pushing me to be the runner I am today. Before I met her the longest run I had ever ran was 7 miles! She inspired me to run longer and harder. Caitlin has been an amazing friend the last year and a half and I’m going to miss her!
I bet you didn’t know that Caitlin, Jenna, and I were the original Orlando bloggers? We were the three amigos back in the day. (September 09 FLASHBACK) Now Jenna has gone and moved to California and Caitlin is heading to North Carolina. I think I may cry. 🙁
Now I know this isn’t good bye forever – Caitlin and I will actually see each other in August for the Healthy Living Summit – but, it’s still sad not to have my friend right across town anymore. I’ll miss our late night partying, random sleep overs, running dates, potlucks, and running season just won’t be the same without her!
Welcome to your ‘someday’ Caitlin! You deserve every bit of it!
