Yoga Meltdown Take 2

by Meghann on June 10, 2010

Good Morning

IMG_9275.JPG

I could get used to waking up to this. :)

IMG_9277.JPG

Kelly and I started our morning off with an old friend.

You can see my original review of Jillian Michael’s Yoga Meltdown by clicking here.

My original review was based off of Level 1, this morning Kelly and I took a stab at level 2.

IMG_9256.JPG

ehhh…. is it possible I liked level 1 better? I just thought Level 2 was sort of random where she threw moves in just to make it appear harder. Like when she crouches down into crow towards the end. Or when she turns a few poses into reps. I mean, really?

IMG_9258.JPG

I ended the work out with a few arm strengthening moves with the 5 pounds weights I brought. :)

While Kelly and I were practicing yoga, my Mom – yes, my Mom, sometimes she cooks ;) – was hard at working prepping pancakes in the kitchen.

IMG_9259.JPG

I had 3 pancakes with plain yogurt, strawberries, and blueberries.

IMG_9264.JPG

Plus a piece of bacon.

IMG_9266.JPG

My Mom said I had a very All-American breakfast. :)

IMG_9269.JPG

The pancakes were oddly filling. I’m stuffed!

Not sure what is on the plate for today. More beach? Maybe. ;)

Happy Thursday everyone!!

Went to a yoga class last night and am feeling so refeshed and energized. Can your momma make me those pancakes? Hoping to make it to Florida sometime this summer to visor my fam in Tampa… Hopefully will get to see you sooner than later! Xoxo

I can’t imagine that Jillian Michaels would be a great yoga instructor. Is she even trained to teach yoga? She’s a bit too hardcore.

I love the puppies just laying there in the background as you do the yoga LOL my dogs would never let me do that- they’d insist on participating!
Glad you are enjoying your vacay!

I love that view its beautiful, and so is the shot of breakfast! Wowzers I should make that for a Sunday breakfast this weekend.

That is a VERY all American looking breakfast!
I have a hard time imagining Jillian Michaels doing yoga. Yesterday I watched her new show Losing it with Jillian… I feel like she’s more of a hard core cardio/strength type of gal.

Thanks for the insight on Jillian’s dvd. I have it too, because I like her other dvds and I love yoga … I was obviously pretty skeptical of her. I did level 2 first (I’m like that, haha) and thought it was totally lame with the reps. Maybe I’ll try level one after hearing your review. Have a fun day!

Hey girl: The breakfast looks yummy. But nothing looks as good as where you are. I don’t know where you guys are staying but once you return I would love to hear where you stayed. Looks like a place my family would enjoy. Enjoy the day.

I did level 1 last night and really liked it. I liked the constant movement and how the poses were used for toning and strengthening also. My triceps were screaming by the end.

I think a lot of Jillian’s, and the Biggest Loser DVDs as well, are really weird about the levels. Some seem more put together and sometimes the harder levels are easier etc.etc. I don’t understand it!

I bought a new Yoga video that my husband and I are going to try out in the near future. It is by Mindy (can’t remember her last name). Hopefully it will be good!

All that fresh fruit looks amazing. I could go for a bowl of it right now.

Pancakes on vacation always make me happy. I think it is because they remind me of a relaxing weekend morning.

I liked level 1 of yoga meltdown better too! I’m glad I’m not the only one.

Love the look of those pancakes. Delicious. The yogurt almost looks like fluffy whipped cream.
