Persistent Puppy

by Meghann on May 29, 2010

Good Morning!

And what a beautiful morning it is! The perfect start to a THREE day weekend! πŸ™‚

The plan was to sleep in this morning, but Maddie had other ideas. She had me up and out of bed before before 6:30. It’s amazing how persistent an eight pound dog can be!

After a quick walk with Maddie I was off on my longest bike ride in who knows how long. I covered 20 miles on a nearby trail in a little under an hour and a half. If the trail had been longer, I probably would have done more.

At home I made a quick refreshing breakfast of fruit and scone.

Now that I had a chance to really taste the scones, I have to say these were amazing! They were crumbly, moist and had great big chunks of chocolate and cherry in them. The chocolate was really the best part. I’m a chocoholic and each bite satisfied my chocolate sweet tooth. πŸ™‚

My Dad is on his way to Orlando right now. We both had no plans for today, so we decided to rent some canos and head to the springs for a little canoing adventure. If that doesn’t scream stereotypical memorial day outing then I don’t know what does!

Have a great Saturday everyone!

Canoes! How fun, I’ve never been in one of them; I’d love to though! Great start to the weekend πŸ™‚

Canoing sounds all-American alright πŸ˜‰ I don’t know if I could remember the last time I did that

Sounds like a fun day. My “exciting” weekend activity is moving haha so I’ll have to make up for that next weekend.

Now that I finished my 10K this morning, I have no other big plans for the weekend. Yay!

My dogs always have different plans for me when I’m alone to walk them. They are like little alarm clocks and only 10 pounds a piece.

My Jack Russell wakes me up each morning, too! But luckily he’s usually content to cuddle up and let me go back to sleep. :] Of course, my boy’s a bit older than your Maddie. Today on our walk it was hotter than usual, and he hardly made it!
