Remember back in March when I drove the Chevy Traverse for Girlfriend Getaway Orlando?
Well, the time has come again.
Only this time itโs a Malibu!
Not too shabby, right? ๐
The Southern Chevy Dealers of Central Florida invited all four bloggers back (plus one additional โ Hi Kiran!) to test drive a 2010 Malibu and blog about our missions in the area.
The same rules apply as last time โ I will be blogging on the www.girlfriendgetawayflorida.com website twice a week, as well as uploading videos. The Southern Chevy Dealers will be covering $100 worth of gas for the month as well as funding some of our adventures.
The Traverse was fun to drive because it was big, easy to navigate, and extra roomy. The Malibu should be fun to drive because of the great gas mileage, spacious trunk, and sleek design. I canโt wait to test drive it and report back on all the fun features! Be sure to follow myself and the other Orlando Chevy bloggers are www.girlfriendgetawayflorida.com!
While we signed papers this morning, I nibbled on a plate of fresh fruit.
My Malibu was provided by the great folks at the New Smyrna Chevrolet Dealership. (They also provided the following photos โ thanks guys!)
These guys know their stuff! They spent an hour going over all of the fun features the Malibu has to offer and assisted me with setting my phone up with blue tooth in the Malibu.
I have to admit, I am VERY exciting about the bluetooth capabilities in this car! I could never figure out how to set it up on my own in the Traverse, so it was great having the guys there to assist me step by step.
Notice the camera men following us around?
I now know what it is like to be a reality tv star.
They were filming for some commercial segments for the local area, so if you are in the Orlando area check out WESH Channel 2 for my smiling face in the near future. ๐
When I made it back to the office it was lunch time.
I made an egg salad sandwich last night with 2 hard boiled eggs, avocado, tomato, honey mustard, olives, spinach, S&P.
With some Pop chips (free sample) on the side.
A little refreshment.
The meal was small, but filling. ๐
My companyโs website just launched! Yippee!!
Wow thats so cool that you get to test drive a Malibu. I love those cars!
I also loooove egg salad and popchips, but haven’t had either one in ages! yum!
Wow, you’re so lucky getting to test drive again!! How fun ๐
I haven’t had egg salad in an Ice Age or two…that one looks delicious!
I havent had egg salad in so long! Or popchips, either. Must add to grocery list!
Oh fun! Congrats on the website launching!
That is great that you get another car to test. It would be nice if we could test cars out like that all the time before buying. I wouldn’t have bought my last car if I had.
Congrats on the spot! Looks like an awesome car!
Ooohh I love the white! It’s so pearly and beautiful! Your sandwich looks so good too. I’ve got an avocado I was wondering what to do with, now I know!
the car looks awesome!! have fun with it! ๐
So cool! Have fun with your “new” car!
I bought a new 2009 Malibu last summer and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! It is seriously such a smooth ride and gets great gas mileage. I had debated on getting a Jetta, but chose the Malibu because it ranked higher for safety and was a lot more affordable. All of my coworkers with import cars were impressed!
Have a great time driving that beauty! Love the pearl color!
Wow, what a cool opportunity!! And it is almost lunch time, so my stomach is growling at your lunch pictures!
I’m so jealous! A new car every other month!
The sea salt and vinegar POP chips are fantastic.
Have fun with the car!
What an awesome opportunity! Love the idea of adding avocado to an egg salad sammy, delish!
how exciting you get to do this again! jealous!
What a fun opportunity! Hope you like the car–should be much better gas mileage than the last one.
I’m so jealous of your car opportunity! They need to do this in Pittsburgh too ๐ Btw, I’m totally gonna have to try egg salad with avocado. I never thought about that as a creamy substitute for mayo. Can’t wait to see more Chevy adventures!
Any idea when the commercials will start running?
I think next week. I’m hoping they will post them online so I can link back to them on the blog.
That’s a cool thing! The car looks nice too!
I’m loving this! So fun ๐
That’s a good idea using honey mustard in egg salad. Sometimes they’re just too mayo-y, you know?
That’s pretty exciting about the car! I could use something like that in Omaha!!
Meghann, I hope your Garmin has turned up by now- but I wondered- do you think it would help if you, say put a box outside your door or in the apartment hallway- and write on your poster that it can be placed in their anonymosly? Only, I was thinking that they would have to ‘own up’, or else pull off an Oscar winning performance about how they found it, if the only way they can give it back is via ‘phoning you? Just a thought ๐ Have a lovely evening!
That’s SO cool!!!! That car sounds really awesome!
you are like a celeb meghann!
This sounds like so much fun! And I’ve been wanting to try salt & vinegar popchips; I’ve only had bbq.
I can’t believe you are getting another car to test drive…..that is awesome!! Your egg salad looks yummy!

I love my Malibu, though it’s a 2005 and not quite as spiffy as the new ones. Great gas mileage, and very comfortable!
Dude you are so lucky. Iยดm excited to hear how you like the car. If you hate it right away, you can always pass it on to me or something : )
Meghann, I have to ask this. How do you get your hair to look so awesome? I have naturally half wavy/curly hair and it never looks as cute as yours does. Can you please share your secret??? Thanks!!!!
I tried La Croiz last week after seeing it on your blog. I had such high hopes, but I just couldn’t handle the bitter taste of the sparkling water. ๐
