Canon Ball!!!

Pool, Sunshine, and Puppies – what better way is there to celebrate a 3 day weekend?!?!

After spending the whole weekend with my family in Orlando, it was my turn to drive to Titusville to spend the day with them.

The last time I was home my parents had just planted a little garden. A month or so later I was happy to see the garden in full bloom!

Check out the fresh veggies.

The garden is actually my little bro’s baby. He planted all the vegetables, weeds daily, and make sure the garden is well watered. I’m so proud.

The garden isn’t the only hobby my brother has invested in this summer. Check out his new toy.

Ben built this potato launcher all on his own!

My little brother never fails to impress me with his skills. He can just look at something and automatically know how it works and be able to build his own version of it. I wish I had that gift!

My Dad brought the grill out for lunch.

Meat, Meat, Meat (Kelly and I have the two veggie burgers on the bottom right corner)

Veggie Kabobs!

I <3 veggie kabobs! Ours were good too! We had eggplant, pineapple, zucchini, yellow squash, and mushrooms on each skewer.

My plate

- Veggie Burger
- Corn on the Cob
- 2 Veggie Kabobs
- Balsamic Coleslaw

Delicious! The perfect summer meal.
My Dad’s version of poolside dining.

As you can tell, the dogs didn’t seem to mind.
We set up a strawberry shortcake bar for dessert.

The pool water was amazing. We lucked out that the rain held off just long enough to get a few hours of sun in before the afternoon thunderstorms rolled in. It was honestly a perfect Memorial Day. I feel like I’m always hustling and bustling on 3 day weekends trying to get the most out of them that I can, but I forget that sometimes it’s nice to just stay home and relax.

I left my parent’s house around 4:00 and headed home to collapse on the couch. Maddie and I enjoyed a lovely hour nap. We were both pooped after a day in the sun!
I felt like I had been nibbling all day, so I kept it light for dinner.

Nut crusted parsnip fries with barbeque sauce.

Steamed english peas

My sweet tooth really wanted a small bowl of ice cream with 1/2 a scone for dessert.

Now I just have to get through 3.5 days of work before VACATION time!!! Woo hoo!!
