Tag Teaming Breakfast

by Meghann on March 20, 2010

Good Morning Lovelies!

It is another BEAUTIFUL day in Orlando! I can’t wait to spend the majority of it outside. I already have my sundress picked out and my sunglasses ready to go. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Derek and I started the morning with a lovely 5 mile run around the neighborhood. It’s always nice to run one of my regular routes in the sunshine, rather than in the pitch black that I am used to.

When we came back Derek and I tag teamed it in the kitchen for breakfast.

I chopped the veggies (sweet peppers, spinach, tomato, and garlic) while Derek scrambled the eggs.

While Derek watched the eggs I cute the fruit (apple & strawberries) and added the yogurt.

Last, but not least we split the remaining chunk of Irish Soda Bread (I’m going to miss it ๐Ÿ™ ) that we each smeared with strawberry preserves.

Such a lovely meal to start the weekend off with. ๐Ÿ™‚

Now it’s time to get that sundress on and enjoy the beautiful weather. I have a full day of fun planned and won’t be returning to the apartment until late.

Don’t wait up!

You and Derek make a great pair in the kitch. Just like the Neeleys ๐Ÿ™‚ No more soda bread?! What to do what to do…

Have a great day! I’m happy that the sun is shining in New England, too, so I can enjoy an outdoor run. And scrambled eggs for breakfast(or lunch as will be in my case) sounds perfect!

That is some breakfast! Have a great day!!

It’s finally warm where I am, too! Too bad tomorrow there are supposed to be thunderstorms, since I’m running a half marathon in the morning ๐Ÿ™

Sounds like a great start to your Saturday – I am craving some fruit after seeing yours. Need to check out my fridge and see what I can come up with!

Jealous of your weather – yesterday it was 65 degrees and this morning I woke up to two inches of snow on the ground! ๐Ÿ™

Have a great day with Derek!

It’s warm here too and after some meetings Hunni and I are going to explore a cute little town around here all afternoon.

Wow I am jealous of that breakfast. Tag teaming things is always such a good idea!

16 Katerina March 20, 2010 at 12:53 pm

You should totally try and make your own soda bread! I made a delicious one last weekend and it was so easy. It just as easy to make as cornbread and doesn’t require rising!

Gotta love a tag-teaming breakfast! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Sad days about the bread! That reminds me, I need to look for some of this goodness at the Fresh Market.

Your tag-team breakfast sounds fabulous! Delicious breads are definitely missed since I went gluten free…oh the smell of fresh warm bread ๐Ÿ™‚

This should really be on your other post about the career fair, but I would love if you gave out some tips on first impressions, resumes and job interviewing! (Esp when you get to dish about all the candidates behind their backs- just kidding) What does your company think about your blog? Do they even know?

20 Melissa March 20, 2010 at 5:38 pm

Hi Meghann – First of all, I love your blog and read everyday ๐Ÿ™‚ I know you mentioned counting calories earlier this week and I’m happy you decided not to do it. It’s nice to come to your blog and and see you eat all types of food without counting. I really like and can relate to your attitude when it comes to food. I was just thinking – would you ever consider putting your phone in the picture or another recognizable object? Heather at HangryPants did it this week and it was great to be able to see her portion sizes (portion control is definitely my downfall). Not sure if that would be super annoying, so no worries if not! Hope you’re enjoying your day out with Derek – you two are adorable!

That breakfast looks awesome — making me rethink my usual PB ‘n’ oats. Gotta switch that up when I get back to the US.
