Remember that doctor’s appointment I thought I had last Monday? Well, it is actually today, which means it was another packed lunch at the desk for me.

I was still feeling veggie deprived from my weekend of indulgent eats, so I made sure to load my salad up with every vegetable I had in my fridge this morning.

IMG_1803

In the mix I had spinach, mushrooms, tomato, zucchini, and carrots.

With some packed salmon for protein and omega-3s.

All together

Orange poppy seed dressing for fork dipping

Bagel thin for carbs

Last night I discovered the Publix down the street from me is finally carrying Adora Dark Chocolate Calcium Discs! Bonus: they were $5.00 for a bag instead of the $7.99 Walgreen charges for them!

I had one for dessert.

Earlier in the morning I nibbled on some Pretzel and Chocolate Graham Goldfish.

Amy @ Second City Randomness

I’d be all over trying some of the vitamins! And those granola bars look dangerously good!

Amy if you are out there, send me an e-mail at graduatemeghann@gmail.com ASAP!! 🙂

I love the Bagel thins. I just found the Everything flavor and they’re to die for!

3 Evan Thomas March 15, 2010 at 1:45 pm

I avoided the commenting drama of this morning, but I think you clearly have fueled well, and the fact that you’re choosing such nutritious calories today only emphasizes that. Way to go 🙂

I haven’t seen the bagel thins and I’m not sure I understand the concept. They look like sandwich thins with a hole in the middle. Are they chewy on the outside like a bagel?

5 Jenny March 15, 2010 at 1:54 pm

Don’t you love how your body craves healthy after indulgences? Our bodies are so smart!

I have a feeling I’m going to need to buy those chocolate graham goldfish…mmmmm

Bagel thins! What a good idea, I hope that catches on in England soon 🙂
Hope the appointment goes well!

I love that you use your Lululemon bag for a lunch bag. My friend bought me a shirt in Australia from a store called Cotton On and I used the bag for a lunch bag before reusable bags were mainsteam. People thought I was nuts!

Pretzel and Chocolate Graham Goldfish?!!? gahh, i want them! I haven’t seen them in stores! i’ve been enjoying the “everything” bagel thins — so scrum!

10 Kelly March 15, 2010 at 2:42 pm

bagel thins are a great idea, I need some of those.

11 Samantha Angela @ Bikini Birthday March 15, 2010 at 2:51 pm

You can make your own lox at home, easy peasy. I just did it last week and it’s awesome! Check out my post about it 🙂

Smoked salmon for lunch seems so luxurious!

14 Jenn Eats Nutritiously Now March 15, 2010 at 3:07 pm

Smoked salmon is my FAVORITE! I just love it so much but can hardly ever have it since it’s so costly. Whenever it’s on sale, I’m all over it haha!

15 Lauren @ Eater not a runner March 15, 2010 at 3:12 pm

I loooove smoked salmon. Yum!

16 Retta @ RunRettaRun March 15, 2010 at 3:24 pm

Good luck on the appointment!

17 Allie (Live Laugh Eat) March 15, 2010 at 3:30 pm

Whaatt!? WF’s charges $10 for a bag of Adora! I wish I had a Pubizzle up here.

18 Rachel March 15, 2010 at 3:37 pm

19 amanda March 15, 2010 at 3:38 pm

salmon for lunch? how lovely!

20 Sarah March 15, 2010 at 3:43 pm

I totally “fork dip” my salad dressing too! My husband thinks it’s SO weird. LOL

21 musingsofthegranolagirl March 15, 2010 at 3:54 pm

What a tasty lunch! 🙂

Have a great rest of your day!

22 biz319 March 15, 2010 at 4:09 pm

I buy that salmon for my husband – he loves it on a bagel with cream cheese and sliced tomato – I don’t like it though!

I just bought bagel thins today after not finding them anywhere – and on sale so that makes me extra happy! 😀

23 Katie March 15, 2010 at 4:41 pm

I’m feeling veggie deprived today, too. Maybe I’ll hunt through the fridge and fix up a big bowl of whatever I can find just like you did. Isn’t it amazing how your body asks for exactly what it needs?

24 christina cadden March 15, 2010 at 4:42 pm

mmm, looks good!

25 Lisa (bakebikeblog) March 15, 2010 at 4:51 pm

Great looking salad – so balanced!!

26 Julie March 15, 2010 at 6:45 pm

27 Ilene March 15, 2010 at 6:59 pm

28 theprocessofhealing March 15, 2010 at 7:29 pm

29 Jenna March 15, 2010 at 9:53 pm
