Whoa! You guys have a lot of questions! I have really enjoyed seeing them all come in.
Thus far over 150 questions have been submitted and I promise to answer everyone of them. Next week all of my posts will be dedicated to getting those questions answered. Just keep in mind that I will be grouping similar and repeated questions as to not be repetitive. There seems to be a few themes out there that people are particularly interested in.
Actually I can answer a couple of your questions right now. A few of you requested pictures of my new hair cut.
Now, I need to preface this photo by saying they always tend to go a little blow out crazy when ever I get my hair cut. I always come out looking like I’m going to a Miss America pageant with my poofy hair.
I would also like to state that I know I need a little sun in my life and that I know the cut is on the short side. I went a little shorter because I am trying to grow out the stacked look in the back and the easiest way to do that was to cut to the shortest layer and start fresh.
So here is the final look.

I will post another photo tomorrow once I’ve killed some of the volume and had my own hand at styling it. Perhaps a little bronzer or self tanner wouldn’t hurt either?

The haircut took a little longer than expected. I arrived at 4:00, but didn’t end up being sat in a chair until close to 4:45! It then took her over an hour to go through the process of cutting my hair and being graded by the instructor. Ughhh…
Needless to say the pear I ate at 3:00 was not holding me over at all.

By the time I left the salon my tummy was grumbling for FOOD. I met Derek met at my house (by the way we live 1.5 hrs from each other or a little more than 2 hrs with rush hour traffic) and we got to work making a quick and easy dinner.
Derek stated that he required a glass of wine to get his ‘creative cooking juices’ flowing.

This was a bottle I had purchased at Matanza Creek Winery in San Francisco when I was on the west coast with the girls back in November.

Boy did this glass bring back memories! Can’t wait to go back in April!!

A big shout out goes out to Eggland’s Best and the Foodbuzz Tastemaker program for supplying the key ingredient for tonight’s dinner.

Eggs!

Well a coupon for eggs, which is good enough for me!
Derek took control of the kitchen and made some awesome omelets with the nutrient rich eggs.

My omelet was made up of two eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, and swiss cheese.

While Derek worked on the omletes I got started on the ‘bacon’

I’ve been meaning to try the fakin bacon for a while

Derek continued to point out how the fakin bacon was definitely not real bacon. He kept asking me why it wasn’t sizzling or crisping up. I then regretted telling him it was like bacon. Oh well.
I present to you breakfast for dinner.

A complete breakfast

Omelet

Toast with preserves

Freezer burnt okra I didn’t eat. (Yuck!)

Fakin Bacon

I actually liked the fake bacon, but I’m also a big fan of tempeh!
Derek? Not so much. I think he preferred real bacon.
All served with a glass of wine for good measure.

I had 1/2 of this chocolate bar after dinner and another quarter at the movie theater.

Derek and I went to see When in Rome this evening. It was a cute romantic comedy that had me smiling. The film won’t be a contender for any major awards, but if you are looking for a movie that will make you laugh with a few girlfriends or a boyfriend I really recommend it!
Derek liked it too!
We have a 5 mile run planned for the morning. Can’t wait!
Good Night!

The hair looks awesome! The colour really sets it off as well.
I’ll be interested to see how you go when running with it – I hate having shorter hair in my face when exercising.
Love the color and hair cut. Have a great morning run.
I want to see that film, I love rom-coms
and I love your hair! You look great
I can’t wait to see the questions answered, that’s goin to be some good posts!! AVE A good evening
Your hair looks really nice! That omelet looks pretty good, too…
That hair cut looks great on you! It totally suits your face frame.
I’ve always been tempted to go that short (I keep my hair shoulder-length) but I worry I won’t be able to put my hair up on runs. Can you still tie your hair back?
You hair looks terrific.
I love your hair cut! It really suits you!
Your hair cut is adorable! Love it!
I can’t wait to see When in Rome! I’m all about romantic comedies!
Cute haircut. I’m currently growing mine out (finally honoring the BF’s request) but Iay have to go back to short soon. The one thing I prefer is now I can get it into a ponytail when I exercise. I still have yet to find a headband that stays on…
Eats not Ears in my blog name… That’s what I get for trying to type on my iPhone.
Love the hair cut! always looks different after you take a shower and put your own hand at styling it! can’t wait to see more pics!

You look terrific with the new cut. It suits you perfectly, the color too! Enjoy it.
Love your new haircut; it looks adorable!
I’m going to keep a lookout for that fakin bacon. It looks really good!
Your new cut looks great!
I’m a big fan of breakfast for dinner.
You’re very brave to let a student near your hair (or maybe I’m just a hair wimp) – but it came out great!
The tempeh bacon does get crispy and sizzle if you fry it in a little bit of oil. We do ours in a small cast iron pan with about a teaspoon of canola oil in there and it crisps up…not like the real thing, but we like it better because of that
The haircut is super cute!
And breakfast for dinner = always a good choice.
love your hair! and breakfast for dinner looks amazing!
I really want to see that movie, i’m so glad it was good!!
Yummy looking omelet… how nice you have a man who can COOK!!
And I really love the hair cut and color! You look great with dark hair!
Love the new do! It suits you well!
Love the hair, and love Matanzas Creek!
Your hair is super cute!
Yay for Brinner! Everything looks delish (except maybe the freezer-burnt Okra lol). Love the hair
I love the color and length of your hair!!
GORGEOUS!!!! I wish I could pull off short hair like that!
Your hair looks beautiful!!!!!! I really love the darker shade on you too.
Love the cut! I think it looks great!!
Love the haircut!! You look great : ) Color is perfect!
Cute hair! I always cringe when stylists start bringing out the giant round brush and aerosol hairspray! I usually end up “smooshing” my hair down the second I get in the car.
I also love brekkie for dinner! Best meal of the day
Any dinner that involves breakfast AND wine at the same time is good in my book!
BTW, the hair is very cute, and I’m sure it will be nice when you style it your way
you guys are cute…and i love the hair! can’t wait for all the answered questions
i love your haircut! and the color looks great on you.
enjoy your weekend!
Your hair looks really cute
I love fake bacon better than real bacon myself.
I LOVE dinner for breakfast! And that tempeh bacon looks good, I might have to try that. (Turkey bacon is my current substitute.) Glad you liked the movie, that one is on my list to see!
Your haircut is too cute!
your hair looks really cute!! Kind of random but has anyone ever told Derek he looks like Christina Aguilera’s husband? It might just be the facial hair but I think they look alike! Have fun at Universal!!
Love the haircut!!
IT LOOKS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!
yummm breakfast for dinner! and i love your haircut; definitely worth $15 (even if you had to wait foreverrr to get it)
I love the haircut, it is absolutely adorable… i think it works reallt well with your darker hair color!! Have a great weekend with Derek!!
I LOVE your new haircut! The color looks fantastic on you!! …and you don’t need the bronzer…your skin is great!
I would totally have taken Derek’s tempeh bacon; I’m addicted to that stuff!
LOVE your hair! It looks so fresh and healthy!
haha I’m like Derek, I definitely need a glass of wine in the kitchen to get my “creative juices” flowing.
LOVE IT! SO cute!!
That cut and color is absolutely adorable on you! The darker color makes your features really pop. New hair is one of the best ways to refresh a look…I always look forward to getting my hair done!
Your hair is adorable! Love the omlette skills! We need to make them soon!
Have a great weekend!
LOVE your hair! I think the amount of volume is perfect!
I don’t think any self tanner is needed at all – I embrace my paleness
I LOVE the cut (and color)! I also agree that sometimes the best way to get the layers out is to cut it shorter, even if you don’t want to part with the length.
I also love breakfast for dinner. Probably because breakfast is always my favorite meal of the day.
Love the colour and the cut looks great!
Breakfast for dinner is a favourite here at home.
Your color rocks and I love the cut (those layers in the back are so awesome)!!! I am so jealous of your courage on getting your hair cut and trying new things because they rock!
Love the brinner (breakfast for dinner)! It’s one of my fav meals!
I love your new hair style! It’s very similar to what I have and I’ve found pigtails work great for running too. Plus it probably won’t take too long for it to grow enough to fit back in a ponytail.
