Meghann V. Mr. UPS

by Meghann on January 15, 2010

Mr. UPS and I have been playing a little game this week. It’s called “Meghann eats lunch a little later in hopes of catching Mr. UPS while Mr. UPS comes 5 minutes later each day just to throw Meghann off”

Mr. UPS: 2

Meghann: 0

However, today I finally won a round! Sure, I was a little late back to work, but it was well worth the prize.

Maddie was going CRAZY trying to jump on the coffee table as soon as I put the box. When I brought out the contents it was easy to see why!

VeggieGirl didn’t want Maddie to be jealous of the cookies I had received the other week and was kind enough sent Maddie a cookie of her own.

IMG_6246

Of course Maddie LOVED it!

I gave her about 1/3 of the puppy cookie and she went to town on licking up every last crumb.

Not sure if you can tell in these photos, but in between bites Maddie is saying “Thank you.. crunch crunch.. VeggieGirl…crunch crunch… for the treat! And tell… crunch crunch… Chooey… crunch crunch… I said Hi!” 🙂

My lunch may not have been as exciting as Maddie’s treat, but I still thought it was good.

I took last night’s stuffed cabbage left overs and made a delicious and easy pizza.

IMG_6233

I topped a flat out wrap with spinach, the lentil and rice filling, and some cheese.

IMG_6236

The pizza was great! It definitely felt like I was eating a whole other meal, rather than last night’s left overs. 🙂

On the side I also heated up the rest of the roasted rutabaga.

Mid-morning I snacked on a serving of mixed nuts.

Only a few more hours until the weekend.

Yippee!!!

Looks like a fabulous creation! Maddie is soo cute! I want a doggie!

14 Amanda January 15, 2010 at 4:17 pm

You can always beat Mr. UPS by calling the number on the notice post-it and ask it to be re-delivered to your work address. That option isn’t as fun, but you’ll win every time!!! TGIF and enjoy your free weekend. 🙂

That pizza looks really good! You can seriously make any leftover into a pizza. I have some rutabaga at home that I can’t wait to try!

Do you ever take Ms. Maddie on any of your runs? I have a Jack mix myself and she loves to run with me! But I don’t do long distances, so it’s safe for her.

22 theprocessofhealing January 15, 2010 at 8:18 pm
