Lazy Dinner

Over the weekend I had a little present from Kashi waiting in my mailbox for my enjoyment.

The granola bar was from one of their nation wide free sample contains they conduct once a quarter. (Marketing geniuses I tell you!)

I’m sure the adorable box was meant to be opened in a very eloquent way that resulted in the ability to read the Kashi information waiting inside.

Unfortunately I am not that patient.

All I really cared about was the granola bar waiting for me inside anyways. πŸ˜‰

I’ve actually had the Trail mix bar before and it was nothing new. It was still the yummy and satisfying granola bar I have come to expect from the great people at Kashi. πŸ™‚

Thanks Kashi for putting on the wonderful campaigns that you do! Feel free to keep sending the nation free samples of your wonderful products!

After work I headed straight to my massage and enjoyed 50 minutes of pampered bliss. My masseuse was great at alleviating most of the tension from my shoulder and working out the kinks in my legs.

Apparently I wasn’t the first Disney marathoner to see her today and she said that my legs were ‘not bad’ for just having run a marathon. If my legs ‘aren’t bad’ then I would hate to be in the shoes of other marathoners out there recovering right now!

I had a few errands to run after the massage. I was tired and cranky when I finally started heading home. All I wanted was to enjoy dinner and a hot cup of tea on my couch.

Thank god Publix is a stone throw away from my apartment. I ran in an quickly grabbed some sushi to go.

And enjoyed every bite of the calamari salad.

This was my first time grabbing the calamari salad and I have to say I think its a new favorite of mine. It was salty, meaty and delicious.

Dessert was a serving of egg nog ice cream and a crumbled candy cane joe-joe on top.

Right now I am working on my race plan for the remaining part of the year. Can you believe I am already antsy to run another marathon?!?! Don’t worry I have some other goals in mind too. πŸ˜‰ Stay tuned tomorrow morning to see what I come up with!

I have a new love for sushi, it is awsome!

Sushi is always my go to lazy dinner. Usually it would be after hitting the gym from 6-7pm. (The gym happens to be right next door to Stop ‘n Shop)

Race photos are up. I admit to being totally creepy, but i looked at all my favorite bloggers’ pics — you look gorgeous in your pics! Unfair! How do you look so good while you are running a freaking marathon? The posed picture with the medal is so amazing; you have to order it.

I hate when life intereferes with the bliss of a massage. If I were rich I would hire a masseuse to give me a massage at least once per day.

Marathons seem like they would be addicting.. I know i’m itching to run one or at least SOMETHING after seeing all of you amazing ladies do it! I’m excited for you!

Sushi is the best. And Kashi is really great, their products are usually top quality and fantastic tasting. Their granola bars are my favorites (next to Glo Bars πŸ˜‰ )

I lived in Orlando for 5 years during college, and it seems like every place I lived had a Publix right across the street. Loved it.

Sushi isn’t my goto dinner, mostly because i can’t get it that close by, and normally there’s something at home i could make instead of making the trek if there’s little time. But it is my FAVOURITE dinner. I think i’ve had sushi every birthday for the past 5 or 6 years, and i still haven’t gotten bored of it.

You should run the ING Georgia marathon in the end of March!

I’ve never tried Publix’s calamari salad. I did try their seaweed salad once and it was gross.

I agree, Kashi is a pretty awesome company, I can’t say that I’m ever disappointed with their products.

So jealous you have a Publix near you! One of my favorite parts about summer vacations in Florida is that we get to do all of our shopping at a Publix for a week! haha I know i’m pathetic πŸ˜‰
