Boy, has my day been hectic!
I spent all morning in a meeting and then had to move my desk from side of the building to the other.
At least now I have a window.
It will be nice to see what’s going on in the outside world as I’m working.
My legs felt a million times better when I woke up this morning, compared to yesterday. I did a 30 minute yoga session in my pajamas and really gave my legs a nice stretch!
My right calf is still feeling really tight, but I’m hoping the massage I have booked for this afternoon will help alleviate that problem.
Since I had the extra time this morning, I decided to make a hot, comforting breakfast.
I had two pieces of french toast that were dipped in a combination of egg whites, milk, chia seeds, and flax seed before they were toasted up in the skillet. I then topped the french toast with warm apples that were heated up with a dollop of pumpkin butter.
Delish!
My morning meeting lasted well past 11:00 and by the time it let out I was starving! I immediately dove into my pre-packed snack of mixed nuts & cereal.
Lunch was a delicious soup and salad combo.
The last of my Spicy Calabaza Soup
A beautiful salad
- Spinach
- Asparagus
- Tomato
- Mushroom
- Red Onion
- Baked Tofu
- Goat Cheese
- Raspberry Vinaigrette
My last piece of Jalapeno Cornbread
I also managed to grab a chocolate dipped apricot on my way out the door.
I am still in the process of unpacking my desk and arranging my stuff, then I have a boatload of work to catch up on. Hopefully, I can have everything done before by 5:30 massage!

I didn’t have an office window for the longest time, but ever since it’s just been so much more pleasant! hope you enoy
I’ve been wanting cornbread so much lately I just gave in and made a batch for dinner tonight
a window is VERY exciting, it will let in plenty of sunlight!!
Good luck getting everything done! Enjoy your massage!
hi meghann. first off, a huge congratulations on your marathon ~ you completely rocked it!! phenomenal time. i also love how much you and your sister supported each other through the whole process of training and running it. there’s nothing like a sister to pull you through, huh?
i’ve been reading your blog off and on for a few months, more regularly lately with the marathon excitement. from what i can gather, i think you and i are in the same general area of orlando. which leads me to my question…where, oh where is the berrywise frozen yogurt place you went to a few days back?!?! it looks like a place i’d love to visit, but i haven’t seen it anywhere around here. please clue me in!!!
again, congratulations on the marathon ~ all of those hard miles training certainly paid off. you’re quite an inspiration!
e-mail me at graduatemeghann@gmail.com and I’ll fill you in!
Yay on the new desk location. I just moved to a window seat too, so nice to be able to look outside…. even if it is a wintery scene (well for me that is).
I’m sure your massage will be awesome!!
I wish I had a window! I always wonder what is going on out there….
Sweet new window!! Have a relaxing time at your massage. You totally deserve it–I mean, you only ran 26.2 miles and all.
Enjoy your massage. You totally earned it!
Yummy breaky and lunch!!
You soo deserve that massage Meghann!!
Jenna
ooooh yum! That breakfast and lunch looks so good! I think I will have to cook up some french toast this weekend
I’m so jealous that you get a window! The only green I get to see is an ugly felt wall. Makes me even more grateful for my 15 minute breaks though!
Having a window makes *such* a difference — I hated jobs where I worked in a “cave.”
A massage will be fabulous, that’s a great treat and way to relax after such a big accomplishment. Hooray for windows! We have ones and they make such a big difference.
the massage sounds wonderful! and you need it after the marathon and then such a crazy day. perfect way to relax
I can’t wait to be able to eat goats cheese again!
Definitely jealous about your massage!
Love you new window view.
When I worked in an office I had floor to ceiling windows in my office and it made ALL the difference in the world. A little natural light goes a long way. Enjoy!

Have a great massage!
Mmmmm…that cornbread looks great! Hope your massage goes well!
I just got a window in my classroom this year and it makes all the difference! Did they really expect optimal learning ifrom my students in a classroom without windows!
wow that salad looks great!
Gosh that breakfast looks good – I SO need to start doing french toast! Amazing. Glad your legs are feeling good
Ooh a massage, you lucky girl. You deserve it though!
My office likes to play musical cubicles, too, and last time I moved to a little area with NO windows, so I envy you. . .a window and a massage – lucky girl
Dude…I LOVE moving desks…especially when it’s an upgrade!! It’s a great chance to clean/reorganize!!
Yay for windows at work!!
Hooray for getting a window at work! We’re doing some rearranging at work as well – and I’m getting a new boss!!
chocolate-dipped apricots are one of my favs!
- nutrition nut on the run
That French toast looks SO good!
Congrats on moving the window! Sounds like a promotion to me
And I am SO SO jealous you are getting a massage, is anything better? Enjoy and I find it helps to drink lots of water before otherwise I feel pretty light-headed after
Enjoy your massage. I adore them. I can about imagine how great it will feel after a marathon!
Your breakfast looks divine too.
It amazes me how you have enough self-control to only eat one piece of chocolate dipped fruit at a time. That stash wouldn’t last around me! You’re an inspiration–for your marathon, too!!!
window = upgradee! woo!
Meghann, you’re going to think I’m completely nuts since I’ve never met you, but I had a dream last night where you were my English teacher. Maybe it’s because I was reading your blog right before I went to sleep? Anyway, just thought I’d share. =)
Yay for the window!! That must make it so much more pleasurable to be at your desk. I would hate to be stuck in a cubicle in the middle of the office with no view of the outside world all day!
Also, your meals look so yummy! I’m always amazed at your creativity and how you combine ingredients. I wish you could be my personal chef
I want a WINDOW! Cant wait to hear about your racing plans:) Wish you were doing the relay with us!
