The Day After Christmas

by Meghann on December 26, 2009

Happy December 26th!

Christmas is officially over, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. πŸ˜‰ I’m really happy Christmas was on a Friday this year. Having December 26th as a Saturday this year just worked out perfectly.

My legs were itching for a run this morning. I set out to do an easy 3 miles, but ended up running 4 at an 8:30 pace.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous! A cool 65 degrees as the sun was peaking over the horizon – absolutely amazing. πŸ™‚

I was very happy when my Dad declared he was making waffles for breakfast.

Not just any waffle either, oh no, these were made from scratch waffles straight from one of my favorite waffle recipes in a cook book that dates back to before I can remember.

I topped my waffle with warn cinnamon apples.

We leave bright and early tomorrow morning for Colorado, which means I have a ton of stuff to do today.

  • Drop Maddie off with her sitter (*sniff*sniff)
  • Appointment with Genuis Bar about my new memory
  • Pack Ski Gear
  • Prepare for the snow!!

Waffles + apples sound great. I’m jealous that you get to go see snow! Florida is just too dang hot!

Enjoy CO! My husband and I live in the suburbs south of Denver and love it! Pack warm clothes – it has only been in the 20s/30s lately and there’s snow on the ground!

Meghann,
I hope you enjoyed your Christmas and the rest of your weekend. I just created a blog today and listed you as one of the inspirational writers that helped me decide what focus my blog would contain. I linked to your blog, but if you have a few minutes to check out: http://arthritishappens.wordpress.com/
I would love to know what you think and any tips/tricks for the layout stuff would be great. Thanks so much!

I agree, Christmas landing at the end of the week was really great this year.
