Cold & Rainy

by Meghann on December 4, 2009

Boy I am glad I got my run in early this morning. Right now its freezing (for Florida’s standards) and raining cats & dogs out side. Brrrr…. it actually took everything in me to leave the direct heat in my car a few moments ago.

I’m such a wimp. How am I going to survive St. Louis next week? The forecast is looking cold and rainy the whole time I will be there too. Not cool Mother Nature, not cool at all.

My 9:00am meeting ended up lasting until the lunch hour. In fact I didn’t even realize I was hungry until we were reviewing menus for a reception and my mouth started watering over the options available. I know I need food when I start lusting after pasta. lol

I practically ran home and threw together a quick and tasty meal.

Yes, those brussel sprouts are raw and yes, I enjoy eating them that way. 🙂 They have a nice crunch and honestly one of the main reasons I eat vegetables raw is I have no time or are too lazy to cook them.

I grabbed a piece of chocolate on my way out the door.

The Cafe flavor of the Merci chocolates was awesome. One of my faves! Not one of my faves? The Marzipan – yuck!

Cold and rainy…that’s pretty much the way it is all winter here. 🙁

I totally understand the feeling! Sometimes you just get so caught up in work that half the day is gone. But it’s nice on a Friday because it seems like the day is going a little faster. 🙂

I love that you love vegetables. It sets such a good example 🙂

Cold & rainy days call for a mug of hot cocoa and sweatpants! TGIF!

it is super cold in st louis today! however, it might snow instead of rain when you’re here…and i much prefer snow over rain! just make sure you have a warm jacket and gloves/mittens (and perhaps a hat!)

raw brussel sprouts does not sound good to me at all!

it’s cold and snowy here in michigan – first big storm of the year!

I don’t think I could do brussels raw, they freak me out that way. But oh my God how good they are roasted! I let them burn a bit and the crispiness is to die for

12 Brittney December 4, 2009 at 4:26 pm

On the bright side, at least it’s not snowing. Snow and cold are much worse!

13 Karla December 4, 2009 at 4:29 pm

I think you’ll be fine in St. Louis weather. As long as you’re prepare, mentally and clothes-wise, you can handle anything!

First time commenter/long time reader coming out of hiding. 🙂 Its super cold in St. Louis right now. Only about 25 degrees tonight. Just be sure to pack a coat, gloves, maybe a scarf and I’m sure you’ll be just fine.
