Three More Days Until Turkey!

by Meghann on November 23, 2009

Happy Monday of the week of Thanksgiving!

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is only three days away! It feels like yesterday I was piling my plate high with turkey, ham, green bean casserole, pumpkin pie and more!! Mmm… just thinking about it is making my mouth water already.

Check out my recap from last year’s Thanksgiving for a hint of what to expect this year. ;)

After running 16 miles yesterday morning and then spending 4+ hours in the car, my legs were begging for a good stretch. I once again turned to ExerciseTV on demand and complete the 45 minute Yoga for Fitness.

This was a great work out that stretched out my legs and allowed me to build up a good sweat.

A big bowl of cereal followed yoga for breakfast.

  • 1/2 cup Peanut Butter Puffins
  • 1/2 cup Missy’s Mix #1
  • 1/4 cup Mona’s Granola
  • Vanilla Oikos
  • Pom
  • 1/2 pear
  • Dollop of Almond Butter

I always overfill my bowls and then make a big mess trying to stir it all up. Totally worth it though. ;)

I have a bunch of projects to complete at work before the Thanksgiving holidays hits, so I best get to it!

Don’t forget to keep voting for the Good Mood Gig!

My bowls always spill over, too. There’s just too much good stuff to contain it!

I just read this article that says stretching doesn’t help: http://trueslant.com/runningshorts/2009/11/23/stretching-doesnt-help/

However, I’m a BIG proponent of yoga and I’m pretty sure my hamstring injury benefited from stretching. I’m still trying to figure out what to think about it all!

Love Thanksgiving! At my market this weekend they had the pomegranate seeds in little containers. No mess! love them. I remember being a little girl and my mom would send me and my sis out on the sidewalk to eat them. Always have loved Poms!
