I hate to be lame, but I need to make this quick. I have an early flight to catch in the morning and I need to get some sleep. My car service will be here at 5:15am to pick me up!
Mid-afternoon I snacked on a personal packet of Dried Apricots.
There wasn’t much in the fridge for dinner, but there was some spinach that needed to be eaten up. After pulling some Pumpkin & Black Bean Soup out of the freezer I debated having soup with salad on the side, but in the end decided to combine them.
My Soup Salad topped with Pumpkin Seeds Rocked!
On the side I had a VitaTop Corn Muffin.
This flavor is still not my favorite VitaTop and one I would definitely not want to purchase again.
Maddie met her distant cousin, Lucy, tonight at puppy class.
Isn’t she adorable?!?!
Turns out Lucy’s Mama recently picked Lucy up from the same breeder I found Maddie at. Which means Lucy is a distant cousin of sorts to Maddie.
Lucy is 11 weeks old and just a bundle of energy.
All she wanted to do was play. I don’t think Maddie is used to playing with dogs smaller than her.
Tonight was Maddie’s second to last puppy class. Next week they have a graduation and I’ve been told to bring my camera. ๐
I arrived a little early to class and while browsing PetSmart I got a little chuckle when I discovered Christmas Dog Cookies.
Tons of evil ideas were running through my head with these cookies. Just think of all the people you can trick at your next office or family Christmas party. ๐
After class I dug into two Tag Along Cookies I had packed for my drive to my parents house.
The cookies, unfortunately, were badly freezer burned and not palletable at all. Oh well.
The drive to my parent’s was quick and uneventful. Maddie is staying here for the weekend and I am going to crash here for the night.
Its only a few more hours now until I am boarding a plane to San Fran! I will have access to wi-fi on my flight tomorrow, so please be sure to check back for blogging and twitter updates throughout the flight. ๐
Thank You Bertolli
I would like to take this time to thank in advance the wonderful people at Bertolli for sponsoring my experience at the Foodbuzz Festival this weekend. Not only do they make great suaces, but they employ great people and I can’t wait to formally meet the whole gang tomorrow.
Have a fun weekend!

What breeder is Maddie from?
Awww, what cute puppies!
Food Buzz will be tons and fun – can’t wait to see your blog posts from that trip!
Hope Maddie doesn’t miss her mom too much!! Have a fun weekend!
Ok, I know NOTHING about dogs or breeds because I’ve never had one, so I have a question –
Do dogs like maddie (JRT?) stay short haired, or do they get fuzzy with age? I think maddie is BEYOND CUTE, but I thought JRTs were fuzzy looking?
– Kyle, the future owner of one of Maddie’s distant cousins
There are two different types of JRT – smooth coat & broken coat. Lucy is a broken coat and maddie is a smooth coat. Its sort of the luck of the dar on which one the puppy will be, but the broken coat is more rare and usually more $$.

The dog Christmas cookies made me laugh. We had Halloween ones sitting on the top of our fridge and my brother-in-law goes “Ooo… pretty cookies” and put on in his mouth before I could get out “they are for the dogs.”
