I hit another milestone today in my quest to become the Sam-e Good Mood Blogger. In less then a week – I officially surpassed 5000 Votes!!
I am also – this close – to moving in to the #4 spot!
Voting comes to an end on Friday and as long as everyone keeps the voting up, it looks like I am a shoe in for the Top 20! I honestly can’t believe it. You guys seriously rock and I would not have been able to make it to over 5000 votes without all of your wonderful dedication.
This opportunity means the world to me and I know I will make the giddiest good mood blogger out there.
After the Top 20 are officially selected, the next step includes producing a video and writing a sample blog entry. This should be the fun part!
Until then, please remember to keep voting!
As far as food goes for the day…
I had a Kashi Raspberry Chocolate Bar as a midmorning snack
And a repeat of last night’s dinner for lunch.
The left over Homemade Roasted Vegetable Pizza was still amazing.
My Spinach Salad on the side consisted of spinach, beets, cucumbers, and olives drizzled with some raspberry vinaigrette dressing.
As far as desserts go… someone did bring in homemade sugar cookies that look like they would make a great afternoon snack.

i think the storebought sugar cookies are better than the homemade ones! I vote for that one. Eat it and savor it
I totally wish I had one right now!
why are you working hard on resisting something you are clearly craving? You run so many miles, you can basically eat anything you want in moderation. A cookie won’t kill you!
You type like a disordered eater…and it is really triggering! This seems like someting that has gotten worse lately. I wish you all the best, because you seem like such a nice girl! I know how difficult it is to be a disordered eater.
WTF does that mean? Obviously she doesn’t follow your blog!
Congrats on reaching 5000!
I’m voting every day!
Also, lunch looks amazing. Love the pizza!
I don’t know how to say this without sound offensive, but to K: Meghann has a very healthy view of food and how to fuel her body. She looks awesome, and is an inspiration to many of us. I don’t think there is anything disordered about that.
I really don’t agree with the comment above.
Good job with the votes! I hope they keep coming!
I have been wanting to try that kashi bar, how do you rate it?
Congrats on the 5000!
I love pizza… that looks like a great lunch. Homemade pizza always tastes extra special, don’t you think? BTW, i hate to jump in, but you’re free to eat- or not eat- whatever you want, whenever you want– it’s not anyone else’s call but yours.

What’s the deal with the Kashi bar? Does it have a big layer of chocolate on top?
Sometimes leftovers are great just as they are. I’m glad you didn’t try to turn this into a pizza stuffed wrap
Go girl!! I’m still voting!
I voted for you again today!
I really disagree with K. Meghann eats desserts all the time and does a great job portraying how to live a healthy lifestyle while enjoying treats. I work in an office setting as well and if I gave into every single treat put out daily craving it or not it would not be healthy no matter how much I work out or how much I run.
People are strange…
Good luck!
Anyway! I’m glad you’re managing to get so many votes! It’s definitely a great opportunity for you
I don’t know HOW you resist all those desserts during treat week!! Good for you girl
and congrats on gaining the 5,000 votes! I’m sure you’ll reach #4 in no time… Happy Tuesday!
Congrats on 5000!
4th place…..done. You could take 3 by the end of the day!
i made homemade pizza as well last night…well, calzones. trader joe whole wheat dough is the best.
Congratulations on 5000!
Please write “less than” rather than “less then.”
Thanks!
You’re in the top 3 now!
You beat me to saying it…
I’ve never tried those Kashi bars b/c they don’t sound so great, but apparently they LOOK amazing!! I think I need to invest in one soon :O).

I’ve always wanted to make my own pizza, and now you’ve totally inspired me! It looks so good AND healthy. Yumm. Are those potatoes on top too? Interesting…

Showing restraint and not eating every treat in site, every single day is not disordered eating. In fact, doing that could be disordered binge eating.
M eats treats when she wants to. We see it on the blog all the time – in addition to her salads, fruit, oatmeal, and veggie filled meals. She’s training for a marathon; why would she want to fuel with cookies and cakes multiple times a day?
Running doesn’t give license to gorge on unhealthy crap every single day. Period. She cares about her health and her body, and it clearly shows.
