I learned a very important fact about my camera this afternoon.
Let’s say if by chance I accidentally leave my memory card plugged in my computer then head out the door. Well, my camera is then rendered useless. Apparently the Canon Powershot SD1200 has NO internal memory; which means no memory card, no pictures. Bummer.
I didn’t discover this little unknown fact until I was trying to photograph my afternoon snack. I debated purchasing a cheap memory card to fill the void, but instead settled with an awkward fuzzy shot from my camera phone and the intention to retrieve my card later.

In case you can’t tell from the photo my afternoon snack was the Endure Glo Bar.
This is my 4th (5th?) Glo Bar I’ve sampled thus far and I am happy to say each one seems to be getting better then the last. The Endure Glo Bar had great big chunks of dried cranberry and apricot that really stepped this particular bar up a notch. It also was extra sweet and gooey. Good thing I have a big sweet tooth that didn’t mind!
With no big plans to fill my time this afternoon or evening I headed to Seminole Town Center to check out the new H&M.

I was pretty surprised they picked Seminole Town Center as one of the premier Orlando locations for H&M. The mall is pretty tiny without much going on. In fact, I was anticipating large crowds due to the fact the store had just opened yesterday, but in truth the store wasn’t crowded at all.

I had fun trying on random dresses and sweaters, but its really hard to get into the winter clothes shopping spirit when it’s still so hot out.

Sadly, I left empty handed, but I promise I’ll be back!
Dinner this evening started out with good intentions, but ended up being kind of bland.

Steamed Yuca with Onion and Broccoli topped with Black Beans and Goat Cheese.

This sounded good in my head, but was missing something. Maybe salsa? Or maybe I should have ate it separately instead of layered on a bowl? Oh well. It was edible and I ate it.
To make up for my lackluster dinner I made sure I had an unforgettable dessert.

Pumpkin Pie Gelati from Jeremiahs (full review of Jeremiahs here )

OMG! Words could not describe how good this was. Pumpkin and vanilla ice cream? How could this be bad? Yum!
Maddie was even treat with a small puppy vanilla ice cream.

She gave her dessert two paws up.

The best part? Maddie was so distracted eating her treat, that I was able to enjoy my gelati in utter peace. There was no pulling on the leash or attempts to jump in my lap. It was amazing.
Now I am back home, in my pjs and ready to sit back with a good book and a hot cup of tea. I have a run planned in the morning then spending the rest of the day with my Mommy. Relaxation i the theme for this weekend and I plan to stick to it!
Good night all my lovelies!
Oh! I almost forgot! I was quoted in the November issue of Self!!! Woo hoo!! You can check out the article online here or in the actual magazine when it hits you mailbox or local magazine racks.
Big congrats to Tanya, Gina, Jenna and Angela who were featured as well! And even more thanks to Erin for taking the time to interview us all and put the article together.

That’s awesome that you were featured in SELF. I think I would feel like I have “arrived” if SELF featured me. Haha. Big dreams, right?
I love the tips from each of you! I don’t love that you were referred to as “diet bloggers” . I don’t think the word “diet” does you any justice. You are so much more than that! I would call you health and wellness bloggers or something along those lines. But, congrats on the recognition!

You need to get that red dress!!!
I like my yuca roasted and seasoned with a little braggs as opposed to steaming. Either was I think Yuca cannot function without some braggs, or lime juice (YUM). Also… maybe some Mrs. Dash chipotle spice. I dont think there isnt something i put this on… its like my crack, what can I say.
Great… now im gonna have to go out and buy some yuca.
I left my camera at home yesterday so I was stuck with cell phone pics too!
That red dress is HOOOOOOT. You should go back and get it
At first I thought the yuca was banana, haha, I need some more coffee. Have fun today!
cute dresses from H & M…love the red one!

Pumpkin Gelatooo gimme gimme! LOVE that red dress on you!! H&M is tough.. when I went there a week ago all I wanted to do was still try on dresses too! And it’s already 40 degrees and below here .. ugh.
But they have some realyyy cute sweaters & even shoes once it gets cooler out near you!
You MUST go back and buy the red dress! You are a saucy little number in that, and who doesn’t want to be saucy?
Congrats on the Self article!
I hate when I leave my memory card in the comp!! It sucks. And OMG, go back and get that red dress girl! You were totally rockin it!
And I’m spending the day with my mommie too! I’m so excited, I haven’t seen her in 3 months!!!
Enjoy your Saturday
Have to agree about the red dress – you look so great!!! I’m from Florida (but lived for a while in Boston & DC) and as happy as I am that H&M finally made down to FL… I have to admit that they don’t make as much sense down here as they do up there. Florida style is much more casual and beachy.
I think you look cute in both dresses!
You look so pretty!!! get the red!!
Totally agree the dresses look great! It looks like you have lost some weight recently? Yummy dessert – Maddie is so cute with her little doggie icecream
girl, that red dress HAS to happen! +1 to all related comments above
I think with most Canons you can connect it to your computer with a mini-USB cord and then you’ll never have to remove your memory card, ever – no chance to forget!
You need to go back and get that red dress! HAWT!
