Febreze Home Collection Giveaway

by Meghann on September 30, 2009

I told you this week’s lunches were going to be leftover central. ;)

IMG_2753

Today’s lunch left overs came in the form of a Chickpea Parmesan Burger.

IMG_2755

Heated up in the microwave and stopped with some Marinara sauce and Mozzarella  cheese, this burger was still just as yummy as it was Sunday night.

IMG_2764

On the side I had some fresh Green BeanFries’

IMG_2759

I called them fries because I ate them fry like in their raw form. Raw green beans are very crunchy and refreshing to eat.

For something sweet, my lunch plate also included some Dried Mango and Pineapple.

IMG_2758

Mid –Morning I snacked on some Blueberry Trail Mix Clusters.

Febreze Home collection Review

MyBlogSpark.com gave me the opportunity recently to try out the NEW Febreze Home Collection

. IMG_2717

Normally I try to stay away from product samples that do not fit in with the Healthy Living theme of my blog, but as many of you may know I’ve been having some trouble potty training this little ball of fur.

IMG_1817

That’s right, my apartment smells like dog! I figured this was the perfect opportunity for Febreze to come to the rescue and save my sanity. Currently, I cringe anytime someone enters my apartment. I am constantly paranoid of the distinct dog smell and am always on my hands and knees trying to find the latest culprit to scrub with Nature’s Miracle.

In an effort to cover the odor, the last couple of days I have been putting the new Febreze Home Collection to the test. On Monday I interspersed all of the home collection elements in various locations around my tiny apartment and I am happy to say my apartment now smells clean and fresh.

My Full Review:

Green Tea & Citrus Flameless Luminary

IMG_2720 IMG_2724

Likes:

  • Smells Pretty
  • Very strong sent that masks odors instantly
  • Battery has an automatic shut off at 4 hour hours so that I can turn it on when I come home from work and it automatically turns off when I go to bed.

Dislikes:

  • The fact that it is battery operated. I am very bad at replacing batteries once they die.
  • The shade is very potent and once you’ve touched it with your bare hands, its impossible to wipe free of the strong scent.

Green Tea & Citrus Soy Blend Candle

IMG_2721 IMG_2727

Likes:

  • Smells Good
  • Candle is a good size, so it will last a while
  • I love lighting a candle in the kitchen once I’ve cleaned up for the evening. It brings peace to the room once I’ve destroyed it and put it back together again.

Dislikes:

  • When the wax melts it kind of looks burnt?

Green Tea & Citrus Room Spray

IMG_2722

Likes

  • Great for covering up dog smells on spot locations

Dislikes

  • DO NOT use in car! This is probably a given but I had to ride with the window open this morning because the smell was a bit too strong.

 Green Tea & Citrus Diffuser

IMG_2723 IMG_2728

Likes

  • I love how stylish and modern the diffusers look
  • Small enough to find a spot on my sink in my bathroom
  • Made my whole bathroom smell wonderfully

Dislikes

  • Can very easily be spilled
  • The top cap doesn’t screw on, so it kind of just sits there?

Overall my apartment smells GREAT at the moment! You can’t even tell a dog lives here. :) I know these are all just temporary fixes, but for now they set my nose at ease. In a few weeks I have plans to do a full carpet steam clean and even after I know the new Febreze additions will keep my apartment smelling fresh.

Want to try out the NEW Febreze Home Collection for yourself?

In my box of goodies the good people at MyBlogSpark.com included a $20.00 gift card to Wal-Mart to pass on to a reader.

IMG_2730

To win the gift card simply leave a comment with why you need the Febreze Home Collection in your house. Have a smelly cat/ dog/ husband? Live next to a dump/ river/ indian burial ground? What ever is is, leave it here.

You have until 8:00am tomorrow morning and I will randomly draw a winner at my breakfast post.

Thanks again to MyBlogSpark.com and Febreze Home Collection!

I think my main problem is that I have the MOST sensitive nose known to man. And I am extremely anal about having a nice smelling house. But combine that with my crazy yellow lab – and my boyfriend who is an athlete and a manual laborer and a hot mess anyway – I also cringe when people come over!

How perfect! I just adopted a new kitty! She is two months old and from an animal shelter and very adorable and nosey! We are doing good with the litter box the majority of the time, but there have a been a few incidents! Also, where the litter box is could use a little bit of a fresher smell! Livvy is so cute and we are working hard to get her 100% on the litter box, but training an animal does take some time and patience! I would love some frebreeze to keep my home smelling fresh and nice!

I need it because I live with a male roommate who is a soccer coach. He does not clean, he does not take his cleats off when he comes home and he leaves food all over the house. Enough said.

As a busy owrking mom, I know there is nothing more relaxing after a hard day’s work than coming home to a fresh, clean house. I know Febreeze’s products will help turn my house into a warm, comforting environment for me and my family!

I would loooove to try these out! I have two cats, and they are fairly clean, but my husband and I are clean freaks. Our house might not always be neat, but it is always clean. We clean the house from top to bottom once a week. I would love to try these out so that my house always smells great!

I neeeeeed this! I just bought a house and my dog is going crazy! He’s completely forgot about potty/pad/outdoor training. I guess it doesn’t help that they had cats prior but still. It’s killing me on the smell almost!

I also have this weird obsession with febreeze. Everytime I go to Wal-Mart and I see they have new scents out I HAVE to have it. I think I have accumulate roughly around 5 bottles..but it’s amazing! =]

I LOVE that chickpea parm burger – I want one! Ok – don’t laugh at this, but, our house often smells like beer brewing from the breweries by us. I actually have grown accustomed to the smell though and think it smells alot like boiling potatoes

Febreeze would be a nice refreshing “girlie” smell change :)

I work, freelance, volunteer at church and take care of/live with my husband, his brother and our one-year-old puppy (amongst other things). My life is wonderful and amazing (I truly am blessed)… but I have to say, sometimes my house gets a little abused and I don’t always have time to make sure it sparkles, shines and doesn’t smell. Not only are my boys smelly and my puppy stinky… but they seem to lack olfactory glands and wait until I can’t stand to walk into the house to help me out with things like dishes and taking out the trash. I rely heavily on candles, sprays and any quicky fragrance I can get on the cheap to help me (but i really enjoy febreeze and yankee). I think that scent is a huge thing, and when you can walk into a room, breath deep and just relax… that makes all the difference in the world after a long day.

I could REALLY use some Febreze items because I live in a teeny tiny (really, 350 square foot) studio apartment. I looove to cook with interesting ingredients, but my apartment smells like onion, garlic, indian food, what have you … for days afterwards, and it’s where I sleep!! HELP!

Reply

I’d LOVE to try out the Febreeze collection. I bought the limited edition pumpkin candle and it smells great.

I need it because I live in a loft—any smells from my kitchen go everywhere! Not great when you have banana peels in the trash :)

Reply

26 Jesse September 30, 2009 at 2:01 pm

I could use some because in the six months of marathon training I have accumulated not two, not three, but four pairs of worn-in, smelly, dirty and usually pretty wet running shoes. The combination of these being stuck in my room’s corner, with my laundry bag full of sweaty, stinky running clothes, definitely calls for some Febreeze!! Please!!

Reply

27 Cait September 30, 2009 at 2:02 pm

I absolutely LOVE the Febreze brand, but I have yet to try the new collection. I could definitely use it because whenever somebody cooks food in the kitchen, the smell tends to travel up to my room and linger there. It usually smells yummy BEFORE I eat dinner, but smelling it hours later gets to be a bit nauseating.

We live in a downtown condo that is only two years old. However, our hallway smells like a combo of puppy and old garbage, neither of which we have in our home. Turns out the whole building is having plumbing issues and they’ve asked us to be patient while they figure out the stinky issue. I’d love some febreeze to help us deal until it’s fixed!!

First I just want to tell you that we sell reed diffusers where I work and they too have lids that just sit and don’t screw. I’m unsure as to why that is but it’s makes them very easy to spill!

Anyway onto the topic at hand…

My cat’s favorite thing to do it poop and/or pee as soon as I clean his litterbox! This results in a constant smell of dirty cat box around my tiny apartment. We have no room to hide the litter box so it sits in the living room for all to see and smell. I would love the gift card to purchase some Febreze to mask the smell of my smell cat!

He comes home smelling awful and then takes off his work boots and leaves them around the house along with his stinky dirty clothes in our laundry basket. He really stinks up the house. This would be a great way to rid the odor :)

Oooh I could totally use this. I just moved and now live with a roommate who has a little dog. That little dog has already taken a dump in my room a few times (I don’t understand why at 6 months, she isn’t potty trained yet). I light up candles every night, but at the rate i’m going, i’m buying a new candle every week! On top of that, I live next to a freeway, and it feels like I never have any fresh air circulating in my room.

Wonderful non-food related giveaway! The guy down the hall from my apartment smokes (even though smoking isn’t allowed) and it constantly wafts down the hall and into my place, gross!

My studio condo is on the market…I REALLY need to sell it before the wedding so my future 6 foot 3 inch husband and I can buy a house because he literally doesn’t fit here ….and my realtor says it currently smells too much like “a girl” in here! A nice, fresh smell just might be all it will take to change my entire life for the better ;)

I would love this because I as a 5th grade teacher,no matter how many times you have the “our bodies are chaging” and “you all need to make deoderant part of your daily habits” talk there are still some you don’t get through to.

The Febreze Pack would be so helpful to keep my classroom fresh!

I have five cats that I call my Furbabies. I love them!! I started out with one kitty. We got her fixed and then proceeded to go out and she “adopted” a stray who we later kept. By that time our new kitty was very pregnant with 7 kittens! I kept three of the babies, which took some convincing for the hubby, but now we have a cat family of 5 stink bombs. How they can smell so good when you hug them and sniff their fur, but make a house smell SO BAD, I’ll never know. I think some Febreeze could most definitely come in handy!

I have two dogs and my roommate has a cat who’s box can rather stink up the upstairs hallway. For spot cleaning I love Woolite’s pet carpet spray. It’s not natural but it works really well, even for red wine spills or, say, blood (long story, just trust me on this one) and has a pleasant scent.

I have the same exact problem you have, Meghann! Our puppy is more or less housebroken, but has the occasionally accident. Coupled with a fur-ball prone cat (we’ve tried EVERYTHING, and brush him twice a day), our apartment can sometimes smell less than stellar. I’m obsessed with Febreze and with the Glade scented candles, and would welcome the opportunity to try any similar products! They are a miracle :)

Awesome! I love good smelling stuff :) I just recently got an adorable little kitty but unfortunately as I’m a college student without much apartment space, her littler box has to stay in my bedroom. Which = a stinky bedroom. I’ve tried candles, fans, air sprays, but so far nothing has worked that well! I’d love to try some of these :)
