Today’s spotlight addiction? Cereal!!
I missed my daily dose of cereal for breakfast this morning. Muesli is great, but as I was standing in front of the cupboard this morning the cereal shelf was staring me down. What am I thinking? – cereal isn’t just for breakfast.
It makes a great snack too! I had a serving of Kashi H2H around 3:30 and my cereal addiction was perfectly satisfied.
I have also realized I’m addicted to easy meals that can be served in bowls.
Meals in a bowl are the perfect solution to when you can’t decide what to eat. It’s simple. Can’t Decide? Just throw the contents of your fridge in a bowl, mix it up and you’ve got a meal. It’s easy to get a healthy mix of carbs, proteins and healthy fats without putting too much thought in it.
My bowl this evening contained
- Jicama Rice
- BBQ Tempeh
- Yellow Tomato
- Red Onion
- Drizzle of Mango Poppyseed Dressing
I ate the meal cold and it was delicious.
I had a severe case of onion breath after dinner. My solution? The other half of my dark chocolate bar from Monday night.
Better then gum as an onion breath killer if you ask me. 😉
Now I need to pack and clean. Derek arrives tomorrow evening. Yay!!
