I am proud to say attempt #3 was a success! We finally made it to the dog park. :)

Maddie was too excited for words.

I was very proud of how Maddie played with the other dogs. She did her share of sniffing and chasing and even made friended with the puppies in the large dog park as well.

I see plenty of dog park adventures in out future. :)

My afternoon snack was a BlueBran VitaTop.

This was a tad dried compared to the other VitaTops I’ve tried. Not my favorite.

When we returned home after the dog park I quickly through together a light dinner of what I was craving – Veggies with Marinara Sauce and Cheese.

IMG_0818.JPG

I steamed 1/2 a Sweet Potato, Onion, Green Beans and Asparagus. I topped the veggies with marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese and a spoonful of flax.

In my opinion if you cover anything with marinara sauce and cheese it will be amazing. :)

I savored the last of my Chocolate Zucchini Cupcakes for dessert.

Thanks again Whit for baking them for the bake sale! It was definitely my favorite Boston purchase.

Now that I’ve been fed and watched my share of trashy tv I think it’s time for bed.

Good Night!

Hummus Pizza

by Meghann on August 27, 2009

Work, Work, Work… Is it the weekend yet?

I just keep reminding myself of the beer and carrot cake cupcakes I have waiting for me tomorrow night and that seems to make the day a little easier. ;)

Good eats help too. Starting with this delish plum I snacked on mid morning.

IMG_0776

I love how cheap plums are at the moment. They are perfectly ripe and in season. Yum!

I made a wonderful mock pizza for lunch.

IMG_0788

The crust was a whole wheat pita.

IMG_0778

Hummus for the sauce.

IMG_0779

And grated Zucchini, Yellow Squash and Carrot for the cheese. :)

IMG_0780

Can’t forget the toppings!

IMG_0777

Some crushed walnuts, raisins, fresh parsley and jalapenos was just what this baby needed!

IMG_0781

After a few minutes under the broiler this baby was amazing!!!

IMG_0784

On the side I had 2 random Garlic Stuffed Olive and a mini Pickle.

IMG_0785

Seriously AWESOME lunch!! This pizza was so good, I would happily make it over and over again!

IMG_0783

It’s really hard to resist the No-bake Peanut Butter Balls sitting in my fridge right now.

These babies are addicting!!

Alright everyone cross your fingers for sunshine after work! I am determined to make it to the park today! :)
