I made it! My short week at work is over and it is officially time to let the fun begin. Woo hoo!
Now I need to start a countdown for when my flight leaves tomorrow at 3:00. How many hours do I have to go?!?!
This afternoon I received a generous sampling of Muffin Tops and Cookies from the nice people at Penny’s Low Fat Desserts to review for the blog.

From the company website…

My heart was set on sampling the Almond Poppy Seed Muffin Top as an afternoon treat.

The nutrition statistics and ingredient list for the muffin tops were pretty decent. They contain no preservatives, so the box they arrived in prompted me to place them in the freezer ASAP.

The Almond Poppy Seed Muffin Top was just what I needed to tame my sweet tooth. While not being overly sweet it was the perfect balance of a moist muffin and chewy cookie. In fact it was so good when I finished I scraped the plastic wrap it came in clean. Yum!

Maddie is staying at my parents this weekend, so instead of wasting 2 hours driving there and back I decided just to make the 45 minute trip there and stay the night. Plus I have a killer run planned in the morning and it just so happens my parents live on my favorite route.
My sister, Kelly, just happened to be at my parent’s with her puppy, Oliver, so we were able to get a family shot.. or at least tried to get a family shot.

Uncle Scooby with Cousins Oliver and Maddie.
BFFs already.

After daunting on the puppies, the family headed down the street to Rodeo for some Mexican fare.

I ordered a single Chicken Enchilada sans cheese with verde salsa.

For some reason I was really craving chicken and this greasy creation hit the spot.
With my a la carte item I ordered a Tossed Salad.

I dissed most of the cheese and the green peppers. I was basically left with plain lettuce and a little tomato which I coated with verde salsa. It was overall an ok meal. I ended up eating 2 chips with the remaining salsa on my plate.
When I got home my Dad had a never been opened container of Peanut Butter Cup Frozen Yogurt calling my name.

The small cup was delish.
My legs are itching to run tomorrow. I’m planning 10 miles and can not wait. What’s better then knocking out an awesome run before an awesome trip?!?! Absolutely nothing:)
