My second day into the 30 Day Shred and I have already found myself struggling to fit the 20 minute work out into my daily routine. I really wanted to run today, but knew I would have no time to Shred after work. I also have the same problem with tomorrow as well.
After some deliberation with myself, I compromised. Instead of doing a long run at an easy pace as I normally would, I did a 5k under a 9:00 minute pace. I think I could have done faster if it were not for the pausing at street crossings and gates, but I am proud of my 5k time of 27:18 this morning. 🙂
With the under 30 minute run I still had plenty of time to get my shred time in before I hopped in the shower.
This morning I decided to make the work out a bit more of a challenge and instead of using my normal 3 lb weights for the routine, I bumped it up to 5! Trust me, I could feel a difference! The extra 2 lbs was just what I needed to make me hate Jillian all over again. 🙂
After quite a work out this morning, I was craving something light and refreshing. Fruit was on my mind, and fruit was what I had.
I still had quite a bit of Fruit Salad left over from yesterday’s breakfast, so I dumped the entire container in a bowl and mixed with a heaping spoonful of Oikos Plain Greek Yogurt, before topping with the last of my box of Kashi Go Lean Crunch.
This was just what I needed. If someone let me, I could easily OD off of fresh fruit. It’s an addiction.
Yesterday Mara, Karen and I were tweeting (follow me!) back and forth on who are the sexiest Chefs on tv. I personally have a thing for Bobby Flay & Rocco DiSpirito. They can cook me up a fabulous meal anytime.
