I Love Running!

I always forget how great it feels to slowly build yourself back up. Sunday’s run was tough, Monday’s run was a little better and this morning’s 4.5 mile was so much better.

I am slowly training myself to get back where I was before my marathon training began where I was running 20-25 miles a week. I know it’s not going to happen overnight with so many weeks of rest and a right leg that is still healing, but I know I am making progress and that makes me happy. One day at a time.

I returned from my run with a smile on my face and the memory of how great a morning run feels. Seriously why do people need coffee? All you need is a great 4.5 mile run get the blood flowing in the morning.

Well that and a great breakfast…

1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch
1/2 cup Cinnamon Puffins
1/2 cup TJ’s Strawberry Yogurt Os
Stonyfield Non-Fat Plain Yogurt
1 Peach

I LOVED the peaches I picked up at the Farmer’s Market this week. They are so juicy and sweet. Hooray for peach season!

So, I totally know what you mean about starting off the day with a 4.5 mile run and feeling amazing–I did the same thing today! Okay, it was probably 4.3 miles, but still. I can’t believe I just started running regularly. Honestly, I sometimes think, “well hell, meghann has run for hours before, I can do this!” while I run. So thanks for the inspiration. And bossy breakfast! Love it.
