Happy Friday Bloggies!
I am currently blogging from 30,000 feet in the air. 🙂 Have I ever mentioned how much I love having a lap top? I mean seriously once you have one its hard to imagine life without its portable flexibility.
When I left my apartment last night I was giddy with excitement. I felt so organized and put together, that is until a mile from Caitlin’s house I realized I had forgot my overnight bag with all my clothes for the next day in it! I live about 20 minutes and $1.25 worth of tolls from Caitlin’s and knew it would be silly to turn around just for some clothes.
The situation did put a damper in my evening though as I realized the other outfits I had planned around those pair of shorts. See, this is exactly why I am not a fan of ‘traveling light’ you just never know when one of your planned outfits is going to fall through or be forgotten. 🙁
Caitlin came to my rescue, letting me borrow a dress for the plane and a pair of shorts for the rest of the weekend. Thanks Caitlin!
I should be thankful that is the only snafu so far. *Knocks on wood* Caitlin once again won her best friend of year award when she awoke with me at 6:00am to take me to the airport. I was greeted by other TnT members who presented me with a beautiful yellow rose.
I shall call it my lucky rose. 🙂
Once through security I made a beeline to Starbucks and ordered an Unsweetened Ice Green Tea.
This shall guarantee I get up to use the restroom at least 5 times during the flight. Maybe not the smartest Idea I’ve ever had.
At the gate it was really great to be surrounded by all of my fellow TnT members. We all were discussing the race and our individual goals. We all can not wait to hit that pavement!
It was also great to have the option of being surrounded by so many familiar faces on the plane.
My stomach had me growling at me almost immediately as I woke up. I really wanted to hold off eating my breakfast until the flight was actually in the air. With the large time difference and full day of traveling, I knew my hunger levels were going to be off and the later I held off on breakfast, the later I could hold off on lunch and dinner. Trust me, I had a plan!
Literally once the stewardness said we were at a safe altitude to move about the cabin, I immediately dug into my bag and pulled out some food.
Last night I prepped some fruit and cereal to have on the flight with Justin’s Honey Peanut Butter (Love this stuff!). I love having the cereal written out so I know exactly what I’m getting.
All mixed together this breakfast was FABULOUS! My mix was a little larger then usual to make sure it filled me up. My stomach was stuffed at the end!
We have a layover in Denver, which is when I hope to post this! After that its another couple of hours flight to San Diego!! I will see you guys then!
