A Semi-Dry Run

by Meghann on May 21, 2009

The clouds may have still blocked the stars and moon in the sky, but for a thankful hour this morning the rain subsided long enough for me to get a 5.35 mile run this morning. It was disgustingly humid and muggy, but damn it I finally got a decent run in this week. Hallelujah!

I returned to my apartment sweaty and gross, maybe today was not the best day to wear cotton instead of my dry-wicking attire. Oh well.

I actually had a pretty jammed pack morning of attempting to pack up some clothes for this evening, pack my lunch and gather some items that I needed to ship out today. Before I knew it I was 30 minutes behind on my schedule and had to quickly throw together a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

  • 1/2 cup Missyโ€™s Mix #1
  • 1/2 cup Kashi Strawberry Fields
  • 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch
  • Non-Fat Vanilla Yogurt
  • Strawberries

I am getting to the bottom of my Missyโ€™s Mix cereal and all the add-ins I was sad were missing in my initial pours are now dominating my 1/2 cup scoops. This bowl was primarily chocolate coated cherries and dried blueberries. It was an extra chocolaty morning treat.

Today is a big day in my household. This evening my little brother, Ben, is graduating from High School!!!

I have to leave work on the earlier side to make it home in time to watch his 7:00pm commencement. I am sooo proud of my little brother! He is the last of my four siblings to graduate from High School. My parents are only in their early 40s with an empty nest!

CONGRAT BEN BEN!!!!!!

I seem to always pick out the wrong clothes to wear on my runs lately. I guess that means I should only have dry-wick stuff. If only I had the money….
