I had been looking forward to my lunch all morning as I carefully constructed it’s contents in my head. I was craving a bunch of things at once, so I incorporated it all into a platter lunch. This way I got a little taste of everything and it forces me to stop and enjoy my food as I use my hands to take bites.
There was a lot of chewing, crunching and num num numming as a result of this plate.
My plate assortment focused on my new BTR 4 Nuts Butter that had also played a role in my breakfast cookie this morning.
This time I used it as a dipping tool for the assortment of Pears, Carrots and Tempeh (Yes, I dipped my Tempeh in the nut butter) on my plate.
The dipping of the fruit, veggies and protein really forced me to stop and taste the nut butter. The combination of the 4 nuts blended smoothly into this flavorful concoction and it made me wonder why people don’t combine nuts in nut butters more often. I mean seriously what else could we have been missing out on there? If and when I finally get a decent food processor that will create a decent nut butter I promise to have a combination of every nut known to man out there. Don’t be surprised if I make a 7 nut butter..lol
To round out my yummy plate I also had left over Steamed Green Beans and a few Mary’s Gone Crackers for crunch.
And some Brie and Pickle.
For something sweet I had one of Melissa’s Chocolate Peanut Butter Oatmeal Breakfast Cookies.
It was definitely a full plate of lots of fun different things.
The best part about having a plate of variety is the fun combinations I can come up with. For instant here was a favorite combo of mine: Cracker, Nut Butter, Brie, and Tempeh!
It may sound odd, but it was delish!! I think I had three crackers that were identical to this one.
This morning I continued my sampling of Blue Mountain Organic products and had a serving of their Better Than Roasted Tropical Love Bites.
These babies are like mini chewy cookies made of nothing but Cashews, Mango, papaya, Pineapple, Coconut and Spices.
Upon first bite, I was reminded of tropical fruit leather. I am very sad that the cashew did not have a more prominent flavor, but overall the tropical flavor was definitely there with all of the lovely tropical fruits shining through.

What a great combo of flavors! Lunch looks great.
That lunch looks so awesome, I need to do something like that with lots of different flavors and textures.
Love the lunch platter. I always feel more full when I eat like that because you get a little bit of everything you crave!
Your lunch looks so delish! You made me hungry…just about my lunch time right now!
Mm, I love smorgasbord lunch plates! You get a little bit of everything you crave, even if they don’t match all that well.
Where did you get that star plate? I love it.
beautiful lunch! i love plates like that.
Wow – nice spread – I’m a nut butter virgin and I think it’s about time I expand my horizons.
I love lunch platters, they are the best!
The lunch platter looks amazing! I personally love a lot of my plate for my meals a la platters. So good!

tapas style eating, my absolute favorite. I think this is my favorite IWOACG lunch ever. yum!
Awesome tasting-plate! I had a lunch that combined a bunch of different foods also… so much fun
What a fun spread – I need to try that! I think you have the best plate collection out of any blogger, too
That is my FAVORITE type of lunch, and the only kind PB and I make together on the weekends.
I think it is so ironic that your blog is one of my most favorite food blogs because you come up with some of the craziest mixtures of food…and I NEVER mix food together…for some reason! For example, I eat yogurt, cereal, and oatmeal in the morning, ALL SEPARATE! HAHA…weird, huh?!
I love the star plate – it really accentuates the beautiful spread. You’re a star too!
I love the combo ideas too – I put all sorts of wacky stuff together (I share your love of BBQ sauce), so its nice to see there is someone else out there… My husband thinks I’m nuts … until he tries it!
Wow that lunch looks great! It was probably so much fun to eat.
I love the plate you used as well.
haha like everyone else i also came to say i love the plate! and i love the randomness that was your lunch.
I loooooove tasting plates! So much variety! How nice of them to donate 10% – truly a great company!

Fun lunch! I LOVE snack plates especially when they include nut butter!
you know when I want a bunch of things, I just dish up little servings of each…and keep going back in to get the other thing. Why didn’t it occur to me to make one pretty looking plate, so I wouldn’t have to get up after every 4 bites to go get something.
I think your flavor combos sound awesome!
Platter meals are so satisfying. I love having so many tastes and textures!
Love that star plate!
I love your plate! It’s so cute.
I went to a health foods restaurant yesterday and I saw that nut butter there, I went to purchase it but when I got to the register I realized it was EIGHTEEN DOLLARS! Yikes!! You lucky lady!
