Want to hear the definition of Irony?
My Mom has been attempting to cut down our cell phone bill by updating to an unlimited family data plan. I have been lusting after a new phone with e-mail capability for a while and by signing to the new contract I can hopefully upgrade to a new cool phone at a reasonable price on June 1st.
Well after discussing all this with my Mom, I hang up and notice my phone (which I have never had a problem with before) is doing a weird split screen with static on one side and enlarged letters on the other. I turn the phone on and off and I now present you with mirror image phone.

That photo is not altered in any way, my phone is literally reading backwards only seconds after I was discussing getting a new one. Do you think I hurt my phone’s feelings? If so I am very sorry phone and if you can just last until the end of May I would REALLY appreciate it. Thanks!
Ha… At least I can still kind of read the screen, right? *knock on wood*
Maybe I can get a cool phone with a nice camera so that I can take quick photos with it. But, until they make an 8 mp camera phone I will just have to keep lugging around Nikki the Nikon to get some amazing shots like this.

Oh, yeah the Frosted Mini Wheats really know how to work the camera.
I had this mini box around 3:00 for my mid-afternoon snack.
And while I was on the phone with my mom this evening I was snapping fresh Green Beans for my dinner.

I LOVE fresh Steamed Green Beans. I like to steam them for only a couple of minutes so they still have that crispy, fresh taste to them.
Fresh Steamed Green Beans pairs nicely with the salmon I baked in the oven.

I coated it with a Soy Peanut Sauce then baked at 450 for 20 minutes. It was very simple and very tasty.
Lastly I had another 1/4 of the Trader Joe’s Rice Pilaf from yesterday.

It was a very well rounded meal.

1/2 plate of veggies and 1/4 plate each of carbs and protein. Looks balanced to me!
Dessert was a Trader Joe’s Molasses Cookie.

Mmmmmm….. Love those Molasses cookies.
My Twin Bro just called to say he was currently shopping for a new phone after talking to Mom this evening about the plan switch. Looks like good new travels fast.

OMG – WEIRD!!! lol – I think you just may have hurt your phone’s feelings!
I have the Centro through Sprint (came out a year ago) and I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! It has email capability
awwww! your story about the phone is so cute!
Haha…it does sound like you hurt your phone’s feelings….kinda the same thing happened to me…I was talking about getting a fancy smancy iphone and the next morning my phone has a big orange spot right in the middle of the display….that kept growing every day….hm so weird!
I hope your phone last until June!!
HA I was just thinking during my shower of the scene in Reality Bites where Winona gets asked to define irony and she says, “Well, I can’t really define irony… but I know it when I see it!”
Great dinner… that’s my idea of comfort food!
That’s crazy, I have never seen a phone do that before. The cookie looks wonderful.
Kharma – that is what happened with your phone!!!
I have also added those Molasses cookies for my husband to pick up from Trader Joes when he goes to Ohio next week. I am so excited! He will also be bringing my back my Garmin Forerunner 305. Can not wait. Trader Joes and a Garmin – it will be like Christmas!

I WANT that cookie! YUM!
Well you must be really tired after cleaning up your apt. LOL Yea Right ! Well thiers allways tomarow right
I just got a new phone on sunday and that was because I NEEDED email ability, but I had wanted to get a iPhone, but ended up getting the blackberry curve because of all of the bad info I have heard about the iPhone!! I love my blackberry and would recommend it to anyone!!
Oh my gosh – I’ve never seen a phone do that!!
one of my friends’ phones did that before, too. I think her’s starting working right again, but she got a new one anyways.
i hope it works well enough for you until you get your new one!
beautiful dinner. I love easy salmon dishes.
That phone thing is so very Matrix!!! YIKES!!!
Hope your current phone last until you get a new one!
Weird! You must have hurt it’s feelings
Oh no that stinks about your phone. Mine did the same thing about a month ago and I was able to updated to a blackberry aka crackberry!!
Love your blog!!
That phone is the craziest thing I’ve ever seen!! Haha maybe it IS time for a new one!
Have a wonderful rest of the week!

Where has Derek been
I’ve seen that happen before! It’s so weird!!!
Whoa, that is too weird!, I`ve never seen a photo do that. Those molasses cookies look similar to the starbucks ginger ones that I love.
That’s so ironic, but I was talking about getting an IPhone or Blackberry with a friend today because I can upgrade in August and all of a sudden none of the buttons on my phone would work! So I had to switch back to my pink razor this afternoon to be able to use the phone! Crazy huh??
Silly cell phone! The companies make them so they don’t last long!
Your dinner looks amazing! I love green beans! Yours look so crisp and tasty! Yum!
I love Molasses cookies! The one you ate looks moist and chewy.
omg. thats so funny about your phone (altohugh prob not so funny to you)…im queen of enduring horrible phones awaiting an upgrade. i had a phone for 6 months that was only visible when opened at a 15 degree angle, otherwise is was a black screen. how ridic did i look reading texts with my phone up in the air nearly closed!!!
haha its gonna be stressful to pick out your 5 people you can call all the time! dinner looks delish
coincidental..or maybe kinda crazy.. but definitely not the definition of irony
maybe fate. but not irony. i think alanis morrisette screwed over the public. the only ironic thing about that song is that none of what she sings about is ironic.. bahah
i loveee green beans! one of my favorites.
and umm…that phone? ridiculous. but also sort of funny.
(for like five seconds) technology-sheeesh!
what a spiteful phone! haahha
