One More Day

by Meghann on April 20, 2009

Happy Monday Morning!

It feels kind of strange that today is the only day I will be working in the office. Tomorrow I fly out to Long Beach and will finish the work week out there. I am so excited, but I know it is going to be a lot of work.

If any readers out there are in Long Beach and are interested in meeting up Friday night, let me know ASAP. graduatemeghann@gmail.com

I am going to try to get as many good runs as possible in this week while I am across the country, but you just never know. So, I made sure to start my morning with a wonderful 5 mile run to start the week off right. My legs were still a bit tight from Saturday. I kept it easy at a 10 minute pace and finished strong.

Breakfast was of course a big bowl of cereal. I tried to mix it up to show you what it actually looks like when I’m eating it.

In the bowl I had 1/2 cup Kashi Go Lean, 1/2 cup 365 Brand Peanut Butter Pows, 1/4 cup Meg’s Crunchy Mix, Strawberries, Pineapple, & Vanilla Chobani.

I am crossing my fingers I will be able to recreate some yummy cereal bowls this week while I am away. My breakfasts are always the meals I am most worried about when I travel. I really wish I liked oatmeal so I could eat that, but I always seem to get suckered in to breakfast buffets with the yummy waffles, muffins and scones. Which is ok for one morning, but 4 straight mornings would be a bit much. I am packing some pre-made cereal combinations and hoping for the best with availability of fresh fruit and yogurt.

I want to wish a big GOOD LUCK to all Boston Marathon runners today!! Maybe some day I will have to honor to qualify for this amazing race, but for now it’s fun to watch and cheer others on.. especially my good friend Bobbi at N Her Shoes. ROCK ON BOBBI!!

Good lord, your breakfast bowls look amazing. I know what you mean about eating on the road – it freaks me out. Ever since I started eating more healthily (is that a word?) I’ve developed a phobia about eating food that I didn’t prepare with my own two hands. 🙂

Another great breakfast bowl! I’m sure you will have a healthy week, don’t worry too much. You always do great with moderation in what ever situation you are in!

Kudos to you for getting right back into a running schedule after a half-marathon. After I ran my first half, I was SO sore for days afterwards. Probably cause I was high off adrenaline and didn’t really stretch post-race. I seriously limped around my office the following week.

MMM, I totally love your breakfast!

Hey girlie! I’m back! Good to see you’re still blogging. Did you run the Gate River Run in Jacksonville? I was there at the last water table. It was the Costco table =]

So excited your coming to this side of the country- it’s gonna be hot it sounds like, but you’re probably used to it. Today it’s 98 in Long beach- but they say it’ll cool down a little bit in the week.
