The past few mornings have been pretty chilly for April in Florida standards. It was very hard rolling out of bed this morning, knowing I had to face the chilly weather outside when all I wanted to do was roll over and curl up in my nice comfy blanky.
I forced myself to get up and then spent 15 minutes convincing myself that 3 miles was no big deal and would be over in no time. I played on the computer, took my time getting ready and finally just went out the door and did it. My head just was not in it, I felt like it was the longest 3 miles of my life and was so glad when it was over. It just was not my morning.
When I returned I completed Level 3 of my 30 Day Shred (Tomorrow is my last Day! Woo hoo!!) Then treat myself with some Yoga For Runners with the fabulous Polly.
I also treated myself with my lovely breakfast.
That’s right, there is a beautiful dollop of Naturally Nutty’s Butter Toffee Peanut Butter right on top. I’m telling you these jars are not going to last long in this house! In fact I think I am going to hide these jars from when guests come over just so I don’t feel obligated to share. Is that pathetic or what?
Though the Butter Toffee Peanut Butter was the start of the breakfast, my bowl also included 1/3 cup Kashi Go lean, 1/3 cup Kashi Go Lean Crunch, 1/2 cup Kashi H2H, Vanilla Chobani, Strawberries & Mango (2 for $1 at Fresh Market this week!)
Around the Blogosphere…
Healthy Ashley forwarded some wonderful information to me concerning the
upcoming Sweetwater Paddle for the Cure on April 25 at the Riverfront Park in Tampa.
The event incorporates a 5 mile run or 2 mile paddle race and was started by a local doctor to support the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation. Multiple Myeloma is an incurable disease with a low survival rate that the doctor still fights today. All proceeds from the even will go directly to the foundation.

Zesty is also all about the good deeds today. He has launched his Zesty Clothing Line and is having a fun giveaway to promote the line. All proceeds from the clothing line will support local food banks, so please visit his site and know any purchase is supporting a good cause.

such a fresh and lovely breakfast combo!
I am SO totally jealous of your Naturally Nutty nut butters!!! I’ve wanted to try those for SO long!!! I wish htey actually sold them around here. I need to stop spending money on shipping for all these nut butters haha!
Sorry about your sub-par run this morning. I hope tomorrow, the run and the weather are better!
Toffee PB? That sounds amazing.
Thanks again for bringing attention to the Sweetwater Paddle evet!
good job running anyways – that’s hard when it’s just not great.
that toffee pb does sound great!
hehehehe @ the hiding of your PB’s
thanks for sharing that about your run this morning. good to keep in mind that even highly accomplished runners like yourself have days when even a few miles is tough. hope your next run is lots better!

Mmmmmmmmango!! Just picked up two at the grocery store myself! Nothin’ better
that PB sounds amazing!
Sometimes the best runs are the
ones you’re just not that into. Simply
because regardless of how much you
didn’t want to do-you powered through
and finished.
Good job getting through it, and then tacking on 2 workouts to boot!
I must find that peanut butter!!
hey Meaghan! I was just wondering if you ever completely take a day off of working out? On days where I really really don’t want to work out, I just don’t. I feel like you always push yourself to no matter what. Have a great day!
Hey Mel,
I rarely take complete days off, but I do limit myself to only running 5 days a week. I find that if I have a set schedule and an event I know I am preparing for I feel more motivated to get up and stick it out.
Sorry about your run
But hooray for your breakfast!!
Are you glad that you made it 3 miles or do you regret running? How early do you have to get up to run, shred and yoga?
Your breakfast looks so tasty!
Working out in the cold is the absolute worst! Good for you for getting the 3 miler done anyways!!!
I am jealous of that PB. It looks devine!
Great job with the run, you did it and that’s all that’s important!
Your breakfast looks delicious!!
Good job on going out for the run anyways! Love mangos in the AM.
Your breakfast looks so good! Question about the 30 day shred… Do you do it everyday? Or do you take some days off from it?
I am trying to do the 30 Day Shred challenge which means I complete the 20 minute work out for 30 days straight. After the challenge is over I won’t do it everyday, but will continue to do a variety of it a few days a week. I have noticed a trend though where I have taken Saturdays off from the work out during the challenge
I would hide the PB too!! I don’t think that’s pathetic at all
I was NOT in my workout today, either! I stuck it out, but it was just dreadful for some reason. Bahaha I’d hide that delicious nut butter too. I’ve hidden good coffee from my roomie before. I kept it in my underwear drawer. But then I felt too guilty, so I put it in the cabinet, lol.
I DO THE SAME THING! I will share my plain PB but never my Naturally Nutty haha
That fruit looks divine!!!
I know what you mean about the weather — on Monday it was 93 and on Tuesday it was 54!!! Absolutely could not believe it!
way to get the run done even though you didn’t feel like it. dang girl you a rockstar <3
I had the same thing today!
But it just makes me look forward to the next run I do where I AM feeling good. Isn’t it amazing how 25 minutes can feel like FOREVER when you’re working out; yet you can spend hours sitting on the sofa and feel like it’s been five minutes? Gah!
way to push through it girl!
Hi Meghann,
It’s my first time commenting although I’ve been a lurker for a while! I just wanted to let you know that your blog has inspired me in many ways. I graduated a year ago and have found living in the “real world’ especially challenging. I love the balance you’ve achieved with work, friends, healthy living and family. Keep up the great work with your blog!

Your breakfast sounds like the most delicious combination of flavors everrrr!! I wish I had fresh mango around!
Sorry that the run went by slowly, I don’t know how you do the even longer ones….you are a warrior!! haha!
LOOOOOVEEE Naturally Nutty!! I hide my PB sometimes too
