A Restful Saturday

by Meghann on March 7, 2009

What a beautiful Saturday in good ole sunny Central Florida.

The temp hovered around 80 and the sun was shining bright. It made it hard to stay inside at all!

Hence why when my Sister and I went to Whole Foods for lunch we had to sit outside and soak in the sun.

I grabbed my normal assortment of salads that I will never be able to remember all the combinations. It all ends up together on the fork anyways. πŸ™‚ It was good!

After lunch we wandered around Whole Food picking up odds and ends and randomly I ran into Ryan from Chase Daylight and her boyfriend Even They just happened to have stopped at Whole Foods on their way to Melbourne and it was just a coincidence we were there at the same time. Small world!

And it only got smaller on our next stop when my Sister and I decided to hit up the running expo at Disney Wide World of Sports and spotted Gina and her fam in the parking lot. Two blogger spottings in less then an hour! Random stuff, right?

So yes, my Sis has never been to a running expo before so I took her to the Disney Princess Half Marathon Expo.

I was sadly disappointed by the expo as it was smaller then my previous Disney experience. Even though I am in no condition to run another half marathon seeing all of the pumped runners, I was a little jealous I wasn’t running in the morning. Oh well.

After the expo I came home to a wonderful fruity snack of Mango, Kiwi, Vanilla Chobani, and Pecan Praline Granola.

And of course I had to enjoy the weather by taking Abbie for a walk around our favorite lake, even though she would not sit still for a decent picture!

My original dinner plans consisted of meeting up with my parents for something fabulous. However, my parents caught the stomach flu and are in no condition of coming in contact with the outside world.. especially myself who can not afford to get sick!

So instead of dinner out I went with dinner in and resorted to some yummy left overs from last night.

I had the leftover Tomato Flatbread.

And I was thankful my Sister had accidentally forgot her left over Winter Vegetables in the fridge, I heated those up with some saur kraut then made a salad with the over Spinach.

It was a great, quick and easy dinner that was perfect for a Saturday night in.

To top off the perfect Saturday I gave in to major Ice Cream craving I’ve been having lately and had bought some Edy’s Slow Churned Samoas Ice Cream.

I had a small bowl and t was delish! Though I was a tiny bit disappointed by the lack of huge chunks of cookie I was expecting.

Now its time to watch TV with my hot date… Abbie. She’s already happily curled up on my side. I’ hoping to practice a ‘brick’ run tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!!

And don’t forget to set your clocks an hour forward before you go to bed tonight!

Looks like a super saturday! Haha, whoah, cheeseball. Anyway, I felt the exact same way about the Samoa’s ice cream! Thin mint is so much better- it tastes like a thin mint with every bite! Aw have a good night in with the pup!
