I have to admit it, that first step out of bed this morning was a tough one. I was lazy and did not stretch as I should have the night before… BIG mistake. I felt like all my muscles in my leg had bounded together in a nice tight ball and were refusing to unwind with every step.
Thank God for yogadownload.com. All the tension in my body felt like it was being released thanks to multiple downward dogs and pigeon poses. I did the 20 minute version of Detox Yoga #1 and when I was finished my legs felt like they had been given a nice massage and were ready to take on the day.
I may not have been ready to climb the three stories worth of stairs into my office this morning, but at least I am walking around like a happy normal person.
This past Friday I announced this week would be a Cereal Free Week for Breakfast in the morning. I have decided to branch out and try something new each day.
For Day #1 of being Cereal Free I whipped up a batch of Kath’s Cheese Danish Pancakes.
I have tried these once before in the past and remembered how great tasting they were, unfortunately I forgot how hard they are to make. Though I followed the directions to a T, the batter was really sticky and my first round of pancakes came out more like scrambled oatmeal.
The second shot was much better thanks to some extra egg white and whole wheat flour. They were still not traditional fluffy pancakes, but had a cheesey, gooey taste and texture to them that I really enjoyed. I topped my serving with some Hot Cinnamon Apple and Sugar Free Syrup. 🙂
Even though I only left work early at 2:30 on Friday, my inbox is overflowing with e-mails. Blahh… Mondays are no fun at all! It only makes sense to have a great, exciting weekend to come back to an intense workload week. Oh well!
