Today was the quarterly corporate meeting at work. It’s where we get together and discuss the company then party it up with Wine, Beers, Snack and Cake.

As big of a wine lover as I am, I decided to pass on a glass in lieu of this beautiful chocolate cake.

The cake was in celebration of January, February, and March Birthdays and I have a rule, if a cake has my name on it then I must have a piece.

It was good too! The chocolate icing was so rich and chocoaltey. I did scrape off the vanilla pudding in the middle though. I am not a pudding fan.
I also grabbed a couple of Crackers with Cheese and a beautiful Strawberry.

Caitlin and I decided to reinstitute our Thursday night Date Night. We both decided we do not get to see nearly enough of each lately. I need my weekly dose of Caitlin!
When I arrived at the mexican restaurant we were meeting at Caitlin was already enjoying a beer, so I figured why not and has one as well.

It was my first time trying the Negra Modelo and I have to say, I really enjoyed it.
I had a hard time deciding what to order. Lately I have been on a Veggie Fajita kick at Mexican Restraints and was trying really hard to branch out. But in the end I could not resist. I can’t help it I just like Veggies too much!

I made about three Fajitas, then proceeded to finish off the beans, rice and guacamole and then picked at the remaining veggies. I still have half the veggies left which will make for a great quick lunch this weekend.

I’m usually all about ignoring the chips at Mexican Restaurants, but at Caitlin’s urging to try them I managed to snack on three with my food.

There’s something about eating dinner that brings on my sweet tooth. Even though I had that decent size piece of cake at my work party, I still wanted something sweet. I dug into the Godiva and was pleasantly surprised to discover a peanut butter center in this chocolate.

Thank you everyone for all of your advice with the Disney Marathon! I am going to watch the registration capacity for now and if I feel that it will sell out I will register for it ASAP, otherwise I will wait until after San Diego to see how I feel.
Speaking of San Diego, it has been far too long since I have plugged my Team in Training efforts with the Lymphoma & Leukemia Society. As many of us in the blog world know our dear friend Julz recently had a friend lose a well fought battle with Leukemia. With the support of Julz I have requested to run this race in Jill’s memory and to honor her fight, so that others will have the opportunity to battle as she did and hopefully win the war.
This race will be about all of those who have suffered and I want the opportunity to run in the honor of any one who has been effected by a blood born cancer. If you or some one you know is fighting the battle or is now in a better place, please send me their story to graduatemeghann@gmail.com so that I may run in their honor. I want to make a difference and I know raising the money for this cause will help save or prolong a life.
