Tonight has been great. I am completely free, casually doing stuff around the apartment that needs to be done while catching up on all the great stuff on the DVR. Right now I am watching last week’s Grey’s Anatomy.
I was very relieved today when I discovered my Peanut Butter Kashi Granola bars were not part of the batch that are being recalled. They have an expiration date of October 2009 and all the ones being recalled have a best by date before September 2009.

So I happily chowed down on the bar mid afternoon.

Tonight I took my time with dinner and went with a recipe I saw on my cousin Andrea’s Blog: Lentil Chili.

I followed her recipe except I added Carrots, Tomato and lots of Chili Powder to the mix.

I also topped the chili with raw onion and goat cheese. Yum!
With the chili I had a left over Oat Biscuit that has been in the freezer and was still very good.

After dinner I got enjoy a reader sent treat.

Amanda baked the Brownie Toffee Hearts for the blogging bake sale and was so sweet to send me a batch of her goodies in the process. Isn’t her label sticker cute? Amanda, are you a professional baker?!?

I had one of the Kit Kat Blondies for dessert.

I was going to break it in half and just have half but when I went to put it on my plate I just didn’t have the heart to break it apart. I enjoyed every bite! SOO GOOD!!!! Thank you Amanda!!
Now I have more relaxing to do! Good night everyone!
Don’t forget tomorrow morning I’m announcing the winner of the Gracie’s Gear Contest. There’s still time to comment so get them in!

Did you like Grey’s last week (and are you into Private Practice)? I was ticked that it really wasn’t a crossover…and at the Grey’s ending (haha I don’t want to say it in case you’re still watching it/ haven’t seen the end yet).

I’m glad you got to relax tonight, Meghann! All your eats look amazing and I’d say that Amanda is definitely a professional baker…or should be! Love the label!
Lentil chili sounds SO good! My mom makes awesome chicken chili, and this post totally reminded me of that. Anyways, enjoy your night. Crossing my fingers I win that sports bra!!
Yes chill time!! I’m so glad u can enjoy some bake sale goods, i mean for all your work, right!? Ha and can I just say- when you wrote “to tide me over” in your other post, I just got so happy, it really bugs me when people write “Tie me over”, i dont know why!!

Mmm delicious looking kit kat blondie!
Casual rest/catch up nights are my favourite. I plan on having a week full of them next week during my spring break. I cannot WAIT.

I wouldn’t have the heart to break that brownie in half either
So sad I missed the giveaway

Those blondies looks divine. They do look professional!
Glad you enjoyed your alone time. Those are definitely much needed once in a while
I FREAKED about the TLC recall because I loaded every. single. OOT box (96 of them) with one… But then I realized I didn’t have any PB flavored ones hahahaha! (sigh of relief).
can’t wait for grey’s tonight! I hope my plane is not delayed so I can enjoy it in philly!
Heres a dumb question for you or anyone reading! How do you pack up baked goods like that to mail? I wanted to mail some cookies to my mom but am afraid that by the time they get there it will just be crumbs. Those blondies look totally intact!
It’s Amanda, aka kit kat blondie baker…I am not a professional baker yet, but I am thinking about it…I take requests, so email Meghann for my email if you want to place an order! (that is, if Meghann doesn’t mind…
