I can not begin to thank everyone enough for all of your continued support of my new journey to join Team In Training and have my first Marathon make a difference.
Future fund raising initiatives have already been set in motion regarding T-shirt Sales and a Blogger Bake Sale. I have committed all future advertising revenue from this blog in the next coming months for the cause. Amy has also graciously offered to design and sell recovery bracelets with proceeds benefiting my TNT efforts with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. It’s amazing all the resources out there I have just begun to tap into.
With that being said I need help from all of you in the most direct method possible, online donations directly to the cause. I have officially set up my website and am ready to start accepting donations. All donations are tax-deductible and I can not emphasize enough that no donation is too small. Every little bit makes a difference in someone’s life!
Please visit my fund raising page and make a contribution. Together, we can kick this goal’s butt and really make a difference!

Also, if any of my fellow bloggers would not mind spreading the word about my efforts, I would appreciate all of the advertising and support I can get. I like to think that I’m not going to just be representing myself, but all of us out there on race day.
I am raising this money in an effort to make a difference, I want my first marathon to mean something! I would like to think the hours I spend training and the time I spend blogging are benefiting more then just myself, but also those who are suffering out there and need our support.
Thank you so much! I’ve accept the challenge to aide in kicking cancer’s ass and I hope you guys will do the same!!
Xoxo!
making my donation now!
I’ll make one too! You’ll love the Team in Training program – you’ll meet some people who have run 20+ marathons and will give you invaluable advice!
Good luck!!
also i found your sparkly brown earring from new years. in it was in my couch.
and will you change me on your blog roll? 🙂
that’s awesome!! my friend recently did the nyc marathon and raised a bunch of money by having a big party (our friend’s band played for free) with beer/booze provided by friends; she walked around all night with a party hat and a donation bucket — when people get drunk they are WAY more likely to throw in a few bucks 🙂 you could also charge an “admission fee”/donation. It was a lot of fun!
Getting ready to make my donation 😀 I think it’s amazing what you’re doing!
I would love to take part of the blogger bake sale when you plan the details.
That is so great of you Meghann! I’ll be sure to donate.
I donated!! 🙂
Ironically, one of my best friends was just diagnosed with stage 3 leukemia! Thank you for doing this and I will definitely be donating soon!
I meant to comment on the original post but I wanted to let you know that this is really admirable! Kudos to you Meghann!! Wishing you the best of luck with this adventure 🙂
Best wishes to you Meghann! I did my 1st half marathon with TNT in 2007! It was a struggle but I felt great afterwards. I ran in honor of my aunt and my uncle who both died from cancer.
I will def. donate! Good luck with everything!!

Hey Caitlin!
Just wanted to say I think what you are doing is great. I live in San Diego and ran the Rock and Roll Marathon last year (it was great by the way, you are going to LOVE the scenery and more than anything, the running Elvis’s every year) and I almost joined TNT but was unable to due to school/work conflicts. Good luck with your endeavor! I’ll definitely buy a shirt! Also, would you be interesting in doing a blog meet up? I plan on running the RNR again this year and I’d love to schedule a dinner w/u & all SD readers!!!
This is so great – and so exciting!
I’ll make sure to put a note about it on my blog tonight, too. AND donate, too.
Any other news about those tshirts? 🙂 I’ll definitely get one if they’re in the works
