2008 has been a great year. I have been through soo much, both good and bad. I wouldn’t change any of it for a second. I’ve learned more about myself in the past 12 months then I knew in any of the 23 years before it. Most importantly I have learned to live life one day at a time and never take any of it for granted.
In 2008…..
I made a resolution to get my butt into shape and discovered my love for running and healthy eating…
I celebrated turning 23 in the Georgia Mountains with my wonderful family…
I visited Ireland with my Second Family who welcomed me with open arms…
I witnessed my little sister turn 21 and celebrated with her at Disney…
I celebrated Abbie turning 1…
I vacationed on the beach…
I hiked in the Great Smoky Mountains…
I had my heart broken…
I left my first real job and started a new adventure in a new city…
I moved into my first apartment all by myself…
I reconnected with old friends…
I made some new friends…
I started this blog…
I voted for the next president and watched history in the making…
I reunited with College friends…
I ran a Half Marathon in 2:08:16 with my parents waiting for me at the finish line…
Most importantly I discovered myself this past year and learned to live life for me.
With all the wonderful things I have experience in 2008, I am even more excited to see what 2009 will bring me. I have so many goals I would like to achieve now in both my personal and business life.
With all of that being said here are the goals I have narrowed down for myself in 2009:
- Go on Dates – Hell I would even be happy with talking to just talking with a guy. I had my heart broken this past year, but I believe its time to move on. I’m enjoying being single, but a free meal every once in a while would not hurt either.
- Run a Full Marathon – This is a long term goal I am hoping to accomplish in the Fall.
- Compete in a Triathlon – I am registered to run one in March!
- Save Money – I think this is a given for any list of goals.
- Take on more responsibility at my Job
- Spend less time on the computer
- Maintain weight loss
- Eat less refined sugars
- Continue to discover myself and push my limits
They’re simple general goals that I hope will guide me through the next year.
Happy New Year everyone!! I hope you have a safe and healthy start to 2009! I will be bringing in the New Year with some friends downtown, the next time I will be blogging it will officially be 2009!!!!
