Ever since I have battled eating issues for so long, I have recognized what a number on the scale can do to my mindset! I could be feeling great, but seeing a number could completely change how I felt if it wasn't what I wanted to see!! I have since gone by the fit of my clothes, most especially, my skinny jeans (not like thin, but just the style haha) .. and just strive to continue to fit into those.

Kudos to you, though. Weighing yourself is a great way to stay on track and it seems like you are really getting the hang of everything!!!

I've lost about 3 pounds since I got home, which is probably due to getting sick and there not being as much appetizing food at my house as there is at school. I like to think it's because I had fantastic control during Christmas goodies though!

I do the same thing with my watch...which looks a lot like yours actually. It has the circles like that but I think my clasp is different. Is it Fossil?

I am glad that the package made it to you in one piece. I hope you like the Puffins. I love your watch. I have a huge cuff style watch as well that I need to remove when typing.

Wow, great job on not gaining weight, although I'm not surprised. You've been good, even if you haven't realized it until this morning.
I actually braved the scale yesterday (and again this morning) and it wasn't horrible but not great either. Unfortunately I totally pigged out today, so there goes that. Oh well, back to the grind tomorrow...
One day I hope to really get this balance thing right!! You're an inspiration, Meghann!

I'm avoiding the scales these days. In fact, I usually avoid it in general. My weight can vary by 5 pounds over 24 hours, and so I just stopped stepping on it altogether. My favorite pair of pants always tells me when it's time to scale back a little.

Glad you're still loving the tapenade. Good stuff!

I wish I could say the same thing ... unfortunately, I must have taken your two pounds, PLUS. :) But I'm back on the healthy-eating bandwagon, now, and feel better in the last two days than I did all of last week.

Thanks for sharing what you've learned ... and for admitting that even the "experts" get nervous about the scale!
