Whoa what a busy day I’ve had! I have been go, go, go since 6:00 am this morning and I am so looking forwarded to calling it an early night after I finish this post.
After I was all showered and dressed after my race I met a friend from college who was in town at the mall so I could buy my New Year’s Eve dress. It’s very sparkly and sexy, hopefully it will catch some guy’s attention to kiss me at midnight.
At the mall we stopped at the food court so I could have a quick lunch. It’s always difficult to find relatively healthy places to eat at any Food Court, but I settled on Nature’s Table. I ordered their Roasted Vegetable Wrap and a Cup of Fruit on the side.

It was good, but i was drench in a dressing I don’t remember being mentioned on the menu. I hate when you get surprised dressing on a wrap.
After the mall I headed to my parent’s place to see my Sister off before her cruise (soooo jealous!) and to pick Abbie up. I had dropped Abbie off on my way up to Amelia Island on Friday. My Mom has no problem watching her ‘Grandpuppy’ and always spoils her rotten while she’s there.
My parent’s had a Santa Dish filled with candy so I dug and found a Dove Dark Chocolate.

My Dad made his amazing Pork Roast for dinner with Steamed Broccoli and Mashed Potatoes on the side. I love my Dad’s cooking!

There’s a spoonful of gravy on the taters that was made from the dripping of the pork roast.
For dessert I had a faux Apple Pie A La Mode.

I cut up a small apple and microwaved it with cinnamon for a minute. I then topped it with two spoonfuls of vanilla ice cream. I love how the ice cream melts of the warm apples. sooo goooooooddddd
When I returned to my apartment I pleasantly surprised to see multiple gift awaiting me in my mail box.
The first was from the wonderful Melissa. She sent Caitlin and I a plate of goodies that I have been drooling over on her blog the past week.

she was so thoughtful, she even included a little directory of what is on the plate.

I can’t wait to sample all of this! As soon as I got the package I called Melissa and gave her my gratitude. She then proceeded to tell me of her food blogger road trip she has planned when she moves across the country from California to Florida in a couple of weeks. What a great idea to meet all of the wonderful bloggers out there! Again very jealous!
The second was a package from Lindsay holding my BSI winnings.

She sent me a collection of her favorite toppings, complete with instructions on how to assemble it.
She included two of the Instant Oatmeal packs she features on her blogs. I always give her a hard time because the packets have trivia questions, but she never takes a picture of the back to read the answers. So here’s my ode to Lindsay.
The Trivia on the bottom of the front of the packet:

And then the answers on the back:

Hehehehe I hope you enjoyed your oatmeal trivia.
And my last package was thanks to FoodBuzz and their new Tastemaker program. THey’ve sent me a sample of Cowgirl Chocolates to sample and review for the blog.

I can’t wait to try these tomorrow and give my feedback!
That was quite a bit of goodies I received! Nothing like a big group of presents to make the weekend complete.
Alright I need to hit the sack ASAP! Good night everyone!

It’s soo annoying when dressing comes with something and it’s not obvious. The wrap looks great though.

Glad you liked the oatmeal kit – I really wanted to stick my true favorite topping in there – a pomegranate but I wasn’t sure how it would hold up! :/ I knew I had to include the oatmeal packets for “fun trivia” ha!
FUN PACKAGES!!
One time I ate a wrap that was basically peeing out oil – I was less than pleased!
