Run With the Sis

Good morning! It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL here in sunny Florida and today the high is suspose to reach the mid 80s.Perfect Saturday weather!

This morning I woke up bright and early and met my Sister at Cady Way Trail for a nice 5 mile run. I think our run together up in Tallahassee a couple of weeks ago really re-motivated my sister to get back to running. She said she has been running a few times a week and has even been getting strange looks from people on campus when she runs past. I told her they were just jealous that she was actually getting out and moving.

I woke up super hungry this morning so I chowed down on a mini Peanut Butter Larabar around 7:00am ; about an hour before I was suppose to meet my Sister. Usually I eat half a Z-bar right before I run in the mornings and it holds me over for 4-6 miles, but for some reason the mini larabar was not cutting it and my stomach was growling the whole run. I think I ate it too far in advance. My body was struggling all 5 miles, but I managed to make it through and we finished the 5 miles in around 48 minutes.

We went straight to Einstein Bagels immediately after the run. I ordered the spinach, mushroom, and swiss egg combo on a Good Grains Bagel.

The Good Grains Bagel was amazing! I love bread that has seeds all over it, the seeds add great textures and chewiness to the bread. As I was starving after my great work out, I happily ate the entire sandwich.

My Sister ordered the Pumpkin Bagel with Egg, Cheese and Turkey Sausage.

She was really happy to have the Pumpkin Bagel. And I was glad she got it too, since it meant I could have the pieces of it as well.

Mmm… Pumpkin Bagel.

Now I am of course running late to Caitlin’s Bridal Shower (Sorry Caitlin!) I will be back with all the fun details. I hear rumors of cake tasting and toilet paper wedding dresses. It should be fun!!!
