I shall call them Pumpkin Bars

by Meghann on October 8, 2008

I decided not to bring the Pumpkin Bars into work this morning (I’ve decided to call them bars now because they still don’t scream brownies to me).  I’ve kind of got the reputation around work for my interesting cooking feats, so I don’t want the first thing they try from me to be so-so. Oh well, I shall try again in the future.

The pumpkin bars might not make great brownies but they do make great pre-run snacks. I had a small bar before my run this morning and it was just as satisfying and fueling as my normal half of a z-bar I usually have in the morning.

This Morning’s Stats:

Distance: 6.02 Miles

Time: 1 hr 4 mins 30 secs

For breakfast I had one of my favorites.

A Sweat Wheat Bagel with Almond Butter and Apple Slices.

This breakfast did make me a little sad though; I used my last bagel and there’s just a tiny bit of almond butter left. L I guess this is just going to call for another run to Whole FoodsDamnJ

My abs are a tad bit sore today after my ab work out yesterday. I think working with the hand weight helped. My cousin, Angela, and I are collaborating for a new ab work out tomorrow. I think you guys are going to really like this one. Let’s just say we’re being creative with revamping a certain infomercial that’s out there at the moment. Angela has actually seen great results with this program so I’m excited to see if it works for me as well. But that will all have to wait until tomorrow.

Until then, Chandra left this great article in my comments yesterday. It has some great tips on how to make the belly look great for upcoming events. You should check it out. Some of it I didn’t think about, like not having too much fiber the days leading up to the event so you don’t appear bloated. Interesting, right?

Great article from Chandra. Thanks for sharing!

Can’t wait to see the ab workout you come up with!

Christie – That’s exactly what I would reccommend. These were on the verge of being great so I think adding those ingredients would help them get there. Let me know if you are more successful then me with them. 🙂

Great breakfast 🙂 If you have a Costco membership, you can get a humongous tub of AB for only $7 I think, that’s what I do because it’s so expensive.

Thanks for the article and have a great day!

No wonder I always look preg. I eat fiber all day and live with a may-juh distended belly. 🙂
