Hello October

by Meghann on October 1, 2008

Happy October 1st everyone! It’s hard to believe I have officially been in my new apt for a whole month now! And it’s now been 2 months since I moved down here from Tallahassee! It’s amazing how quickly life can change, I feel like my life is so different now then when I was up in Tally. A lot has happened and most of it has been good: I found a great job, made some great friends, have a great apartment and just completed an awesome race. I can’t wait to see what October will bring me!

After work I have plans to meet up with Ms. Caitlin for a run downtown, so this morning I decided to do a light strength training and ab work to wake me up.

For starters I did the Self Work-Out Tear Out for the October issue. Every issue of Self I get I usually tear out the work out plan for the month and keep them in a folder for quick references. This one required a BOSU ball, but I did the exercises with out it. I suggest doing the All Over Trainer   it really had my arms feeling warm.

After, I finished those exercised I did a 10 minute ab work out.

  • 50 Crunches
  • 50 Reverse Crunches
  • 50 Bicycles
  • 50 Left Crunches
  • 50 Right Crunches
  • 25 Crunches
  • 25 Reverse Crunches
  • 25 Combination or regular and reverse

I then flipped on my stomach for a little back work

  • 25 Chest lifts
  • 25 Leg Lifts
  • 25 Combos

My stomach already feels nice and tight. Nothing like a few crunches to wake the body up in the morning J
Since it is the first day of October, I decided a little orange color was in order for my breakfast.

I peeled and chopped a small orange and added it to 1 cup of Kashi U Cereal. I then topped that with a few grapes. I really love this cereal. It has a nice crunch to it.

I’m off to start the month of October!

Did everyone else have a great September?
