Sunday Breakfast

by Meghann on September 28, 2008

This morning my internal clock work me up a good 30 minutes before my pre-set alarm went off. After tossing and turning I gave in and just got out of bed. I don’t even know why I set alarms for the weekend; I set them so I don’t go overboard on sleeping in, but my body will never even let me sleep in that long anyways. Oh well.

After some hard core running yesterday, I was in the mood for a little different type of work out this morning. I reviewed my small collection of work out videos and decided on the BIlly Blanks Ultimate Boot Camp. When I first started working out, I loved the Billy Blanks DVDS they always got my heart rate up and I felt like I could walk away knowing I got some good cardio and strength training into my work out session. This particular DVD is an hour long and did not disappoint. I hadn’t done it for a while, so I felt like all the moves were really fresh and it left me nice and sweaty in the end.

After my work out, breakfast was my top priority. I really wanted waffles, but at the moment I have no milk so that was a no go. ๐Ÿ™ I decided the best alternative would be some nice french toast. ๐Ÿ™‚

I dipped two slices of whole wheat bread into a mixture of egg white, cinnamon & vanilla extract, then heated on a griddle until they were a light shade of brown.

I topped the french toast with the last bit of crushed pineapple and some beautiful strawberries I picked up at the farmers market yesterday.

Look how beautiful these strawberries are!?! I was pretty sure I was done with strawberries for the season due to the poor selection out there, but I saw these yesterday and couldn’t resist.  AND they were only $2.50 for a pint!

I’m going to be tourist today, so I won’t be able to get another post up until tonight. I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

I got some cheap strawberries at Publix the other day, too… But I guess you get what you pay for sometimes. Mine were HORRIBLE. Strawberry season is over =[

Were yours any good?!
